3. My friend's son was murdered by his father-in-law

in front of his two kids.. Court was such a horrible joke.. My friend about lost her mind over it.The father-in-law got life with no parole.

5. They would not let her attend the trial..

His attorney added HER name to the witness list so she would not be allowed in the courtroom, and then he never called her (never planned to)..

But it brings an interesting question. What SHOULD be done in this case? Establish that immediate family can attend from the start even when they're witnesses? Mandate that they be the first witnesses if they're called?

In any case, the lawyer should get serious shit for that. But I'm relieved to know the perp got what he deserved anyway.

9. The double irony?? My husband was called for jury duty

for THAT trial.. When they asked him questions, he was excused.. He said.. " I cannot be impartial because "xxx and XXX are my friends and that guy killed their son in cold blood..in front of his kids"..they excused him..
