heres a good article about video game myths, written by Henry Jenkins,MIT Professor.

its worth a good read especially for all the people who constantly attack videogames much like how the movies music books have been attacked in the past

1. Back in the 40's and 50's, it was comic books
There was even a senate investigation leading to a "Comic Book Code".

4. i knew i forgot something
i would have said "and so on" at the end of that little list of things that where attacked but i was counting comic books as books.

but anyway yah...... you should see the dragon ball manga, theres a lot of sexual jokes in it, caused an uproar with parents a while ago and the people translating it decided to censor it instead of telling the parents to take responsability

5. I saw an anti-comic propaganda film once
Showed a kid reading a violent comic. All of a sudden, he puts down the comic, picks up a rock and bashes the kid sitting next to him on the head.

Probably done by the same producers as "Reefer Madness".

3. Jenkins rocks... he has an column with another guy in
Computer Games magazine every month. Always well researched and well thought out.
