7. Stern is controversial...
but he's been one of the major martyrs against the FCC's current higher level of censorship.

He also was against Bush, and he has a huge number of listeners.

25. I wouldn't call a guy
who'll be making hundreds of millions of dollars for escaping FCC censorship a "martyr".

9. Yes -- I kinda admit I like locker room humor and Bush mockery...
... both of which his show provides in copious quantity.

And then, let's not forget the lesbian strippers or speech impediment dial-a-date...

6. I thought the Daily Show was showing re-runs this week due
to death of a staff member. Was the moratorium for one night only ?

8. Apparently one night only.
Colbert was new last night.

And I'm sure Stern is a high-ticket guest they don't want to put off.

20. I was wondering that too, but I did see a promo last night for the...
...Howard Stern appearance.

Oh well, I guess it's like most shows, the Producer is probably telling the crew, "...He would have wanted the Show to go on..."

12. MOST excellent.
Two of my favorite personalities... this should be GREAT. Stern actually did the Jon Stewart show (what was that, like 1992?) and it was one of the funniest pieces of television ever. Jon's gotten a hell of a lot more confident since then, so it should be a better give and take. Now I'm rambling "for NO raisin!". :) Peace.

13. He's sexist, vulgar, simple in his humour....but not a Repuk Nazi, go Howi
Any who can't hang with Howard should at least give him his due as a bulwark against censorship, against Fascist propaganda and a warrior battling the Repuk Lockstep Christinites (fake hypocritical non-Christians). None of the women in my family can stand him, but they don't smoke cigars or play football or hunt, and give me some room. We need warriors, and please don't expect battle weary fighters on the left to all conform to every politically correct standard. No one's perfect.

19. Here is the thing to remember about Stern
...before everyone scrams about how he is racist, homophobic, sexist etc. He's that way because it sells time on the radio. He knows that there is a certain part of the population wants to listen to that, and there is another section that wants to listen so they can find something to hammer him.

26. What did Stern say about Dean
the other day?

I saw Stern last night on the Daily Show and they did a good riff together..they didn't talk politics like I was hoping but Stern is probably going to make Serius radio more popular and that could help others who can't get played on clear channel?

Jon did a pretty funny thing on the "War On Christmas".

Said "we needed to be reminded of His Name instead of say..heeding what he says".

30. THANK YOU, CHIMPSRSMARTER!
That was great..that's why I Like Howard Stern!

I should have known the fucking nypostal would print something about Dean like that.

"If there were a draft faux would re-locate to Canada"!

"What part of rupert murdock's family is in Iraq?"

Thanks Stern for defending Dean from the stupid nypost when they called him a traitor!
