This is the Bush Compassionate Conservatism at work in Delray Beach, FL
Edited on Sun Oct-19-03 10:47 PM by TruthIsAll
I've lived here two years. And Linton Blvd. at I95 has been in construction for at least that long. This is a joke. The two blocks just east of I95 have had barriers up all this time. Sure, traffic is diverted, but this should have been finished 18 months ago. And now they are widening the road west of I95. Give them another three years at least.

Thank you, Jebbie.

Thank you, Shrub. Your tax dollars at work. In Iraq.

I hope that one day, when Bush is gone, I will be able to drive straight through this block on a road clear and free of barriers.

1. Sounds like "Tammany Hall" construction going on
No competent contractor is 18 months late. They never make any money that way.

Maybe just one of Jeb's friends. I'd be curious how far over budget that project is.

2. Goodness, my father built bridges here in Texas and he would
bid the job and then fret and fume whenever weather put him behind because he would lose money. Something stinky there.

6. Well hiya TIA!!
I drive that road quite a bit. I live on Military Trail, just north of Linton. Small world.

That particular road project is just silly. They should have been done a year ago, and done the work in the evenings to avoid traffic snafus but it just sits there, waiting on who knows what to get finished. Ya know what? I bet the French would've had it done by now.

7. What a small world!
Here I am in Sunrise, FL-- commute to Boca every day--

I hear about Linton and Woolbright exits, delays etc. on a daily basis-- it's a given now that the commute north of Boca is sheer hell. Congress Ave, Rt 1 alternate routes my aunt fanny...

Guess I'm lucky that all I have to do is go Oakland to Glades on 95.

Jeb is evil, pure and simple.
