I wonder how Poppy * feels about his son systematically blaming the CIA
for everything?

"It is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong. As president I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq," the president told The Woodrow Wilson Center on the eve of elections to establish Iraq's first permanent, democratically elected government. "And I'm also responsible for fixing what went wrong by reforming our intelligence capabilities. And we're doing just that."

3. Is it Goss's CIA today? As I look at it the CIA has always had
various and powerful factions. Thinking "Three Days of the Condor" .

Of course, there were a few back then who insisted on telling the truth. They were generally ignored and passed over for promotion.

What's different today is that in the aftermath of Bush-Cheney's attempt at a wholesale purge by the neocons, the place is in general rebellion. Less so at DIA, but under the surface the professionals really hate this Administration for the damage they've done to the US military in Iraq.

I think Poppy has dutifully accepted the poison pill, and will take it as agreed when the time's right.
