Democracy in Iraq is a smoke screen !

I was listening to Pacifica radio on KPFK yesterday. They were reporting on an agreement made between the new Iraqi government and the oil companies. The Iraqi government will control only a small percentage of it's oil production and the rest is going to be controlled by the oil companies. I am not sure who the oil companies are because I did not listen to the whole report. But, if OPEC decided to limit production, the oil companies would not be effected but the country of Iraq would be required to follow OPEC therefore, the oil controlled by Iraq would have to be cut back so that the total oil production from the country met OPEC requirements.

Basically they were saying that the Iraqi government will remain weak and not really control things.

This idea of democracy in Iraq is a smoke screen used to hide what is really going on and is not being reported by MSM. We have set up ourselves as an imperial power just like England did to India. We will sap the country of Iraq of it wealth all the while Americans will be happy that we brought democracy to the Iraqis.

We are not paying any attention to that man behind the curtain.
