So...what exactly did the US Govt hear when they spied on you? Here's
what they heard if they were listening in on our phone:

*ring*

Hello?

Hey! What are you doing?

Oh, just some laundry right now, but I am also trying to study for the Latin test next week...what's up with you?

Oh, well your Dad is looking at stuff on ebay, and I am going down to the church to work on the altar for a wedding....did you get my card?

I did, thank you! Can you believe what that stupid jackass (Note: everyone that knows us, knows that "stupid jackass" is Bush) did yesterday? I just don't see how anyone voted for that clown. (Clown=Bush)

I know! Even some of the people at church still like him even though he has completely destroyed the economy and made a mess of the middle east! And what the HELL was Condi wearing at that meeting? Doesn't she have any taste at all?

I know...it's just ridiculous....Sigh.

I know....sigh.

Well....oh no! I just realized I have to go to Harris Teeter because I am out of _______. Rats....I thought I could put that off...damn.

OK, well talk to you soon!

OK, bye!

NOW--US Government employees paid to listen to people's conversations...how fun was THAT? Are you still awake? There's more where that came from...check in on my phone any flipping time--in fact...say "hi" once in awhile!

Stephanie

1. When I heard this news story, I flashed back to some of my phone
calls, too. They heard my friend calling to tell me that her 3-y.o. just peed on the ceiling. They heard my husband offer to pick up burritos for dinner. They heard me yelling at the kids as I waited to get off of "hold" numerous times. Sometimes I do bash Bush on the phone, but they'd have to wade through a lot of dreck to find those parts. :eyes: Really, it must have been quite a disappointment.

3. When I was a teenager, I babysat for a lady (Dem) who was working
on a big campaign---her phone was actually tapped.

I STILL laugh when I think about what those guys had to listen to:

OH MY GOD...He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! I mean, TOTALLY Cute! Like Cute like I have never seen before. I mean, OMG.

Do you think he likes me or Denise? He CAN'T like Denise!!! What if he does??? OH MY GOD!!!

Best part? This lady had that old "party call" thing....so I would call about 5 girlfriends and the above conversation would go on for HOURS.

2. Geez, let's see...
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 09:36 AM by NewWaveChick1981
Hubby calling me to tell me he was on his way back from the dentist, Mom calling to tell me she was going to visit my sister and her family, Hubby talking to his friends about artwork, Hubby talking to a couple of his friends about collectible toys, me talking to my sister about the things her kids did during the week, wishing my nieces Happy Birthday, and other exciting things like that. Real subversive stuff... :sarcasm:

BTW, we shop at Harris Teeter too...just so the eavesdroppers know. Looks like we're in cahoots, Thtwudbeme.

4. Yep. They really should check us out at the Teeter
Particularly the Tahajmateeters when we bring someone else with us!

That could be very very exciting for them to find out that the good lean roast beef sliced for sandwiches is on sale for 4.99 a pound!!!!

5. Well, you know...
...the "My Harris Teeter" commercials are really subversive messages to all of us radicals.

7. Hopefully
they heard me say, wish the moron could get a blow job, but probably they were listening when I was discussing my grandson's toilet training and the presents you get when you go poopy in the potty.

8. Ya know, this may explain that strange guy I saw
last year in our development. He was messing with the phone lines. Did not have appropriate vest on (like other phone workers), but did have a tool belt with "phone" stuff in it. Had a white hard had with no affiliation on it, along with a white work truck with no affiliation on it, BUT it had Texas tags. Looked really weird to me so hubby and I called the police. They said they would send someone out because nobody that they knew of from Verizon was doing any work in our neighborhood.

Didn't hear any more after that. At the time, hubby and I thought "wiretap". We do have a couple of city and county politicians and a minister who live in our development.

10. They would hear me talking about...
what a great president Bush is and how he's protecting our freedoms. Our troops are dying in Iraq to protect our freedoms here at home.

:sarcasm: :hi:

11. love your OP
kicked & recommended once the tears of laughter stopped.

I have been involved in litigation with the gov on the other side for some time now, I have known for years they are listening. :freak: After a while, you get used to it, you don't give a rat's ass and you often tell Agent Mike (actually it's Special Agent Mike) to kiss your ass or f'ck off during your conversations (high pitched noises and whistles are also pretty cool).

:hi: Hi Special Agent Mike - I hope you have a great weekend! B-)

Thanks for the laugh, the image of guys getting paid to listen to our conversations about finals and Condi's fashion and the weed-n-chief is just too funny. I do love that visual, I also hate the waste of tax dollars and the infringement on our civil liberties. We have to get these guys out of office - we must win seats in '06 and impeach the weed-that-would-be-king. :argh:
