Poll question: What Democratic Senator is most vulnerable in '06
Which of our Democratic incumbent senators seeking election in '06 will need the most help? (note I added Robert Menendez of NJ to the list becuz he was appointed by Jon Corzine to fill his seat in NJ and will seek election for a full term in '06).

1. Of those, none
New Jersey is a heavily blue state and 2006 will be an anti-Bush year, even with a good candidate the GOP will lose this one, probably narrowly. The others are safe, most because the GOP's prefered candidates declined to run.

2. but the GOP has their preferred candidate in NJ
the son of the former popular Governor, Tom Kean. I think that one is the one to watch. Not that Menendez will necessarily lose, but it could be very competitive. I also think Cantwell in WA is not overly strong.

3. Like I said, even with a good candidate
I think the Democratic tilt of New Jersey will pull Menendez through. I was refering to the others when I said the GOP didn't get their candidates, because New Jersey is one of the few places they have a strong candidate. I'd be more concerned about Cantwell if her opponent was stronger.

4. I have to believe that in the Red bread basket of America
Conrad is at the greatest risk. Lets face it in Red America it's damn near a hanging offense to be a democrat, don't even mention being a liberal.
