Poll: America's New Year's Resolution For President Bush: End Iraq War
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 11:34 AM by ECH1969
NEW YORK – December 15, 2005 – President Bush’s approval ratings have spiked dramatically over the last month while Congressional approval crashed. Following several recent speeches on Iraq, voters appear to be rallying around the president, with a 10-point jump in his approval since a similar poll in November (from 40% to 50%). Bush’s largest gain was among Independents, whose approval jumped by sixteen points. Meanwhile, voters are souring on Congress, disapproving of its job performance by 64% to 26% — a 14-point rise in disapproval since last month. Despite controlling both houses, Republicans also disapprove of Congress by 54% to 38%.

34% of Americans say their New Years Resolution to * the Iraq War. The number I found pathetic though is more people think he is doing a better job on Iraq then the economy. I guess the news from Iraq is easier for him to spin.

1. 10 points?!
When did this happen? Maybe in some moron's fantasy, but I'm SURE the real numbers are about 8-9 points lower.

2. Never heard of em
"Diageo, the world’s leading spirits, beer and wine company, and The Hotline, the leading daily news briefing on American politics, have teamed up to bring you the Diageo/Hotline Poll."

Maybe they only poll drunk people. I think I'll stick with Zogby & Gallup.
