if * insists
on shoving the patriot act down our throats, is that NOT the absolutely perfect grounds for impeachment?
The "Oath" he took on that dark innaguration day, said he would "preserve, protect and defend the constitution" .... and the patriot act, invalidates the very heart of the constitution.-

Or am i wrong???

Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 11:47 AM by Wordie
Kyl says that if an attack happened, and we didn't have a Patriot Act in effect, it would be the fault of the democrats (he's insisting that its a partisan issue). Huh? Wouldn't it be the fault of our Prez for refusing to sign the extension???? Talk about partisan!

And Shumer is up now bringing up the point about the new report that the government has listened into the phone conversations of US citizens who are suspected of NOTHING!

15. Hmmmmmm....Is the Patriot Act Filibuster going on now?
Just tuned into CSpan where they are talking on the Senate floor about the Patriot Act. Someone referred to "invoking cloture."

Does that mean a filabustr is going on, or is this just the normal debate? Anyone know?

Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 12:11 PM by Bluerthanblue
to give this administration what it wants is supporting the terrorists who are destroying what little remains of 'us'.

edited to correct myself- voting to allow the patriot act to be renewed, is empowering the terrorists- voting to take time to fight this assult on constitutional rights is the 'prudent' thing to do- i didn't understand what side was what, although, if bush insists on a patriot act- he's giving perfect grounds for impeachment- his oath, was to PRESERVE, PROTECT, AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION- not alter it to his own ends-
