Student's Doodle Draws FBI's Attention
Teacher Notices After Teen Draws 'PLO' On Notebook

ELK GROVE, Calif. -- The Elk Grove Unified School District has launched an investigation after a student's doodling caught the attention of the FBI.

Munir Rashed, 16, said he never imagined doodling the letters P-L-O on his notebook would cause his math teacher at Elk Grove High School to take notice and, according to Rashed, embarrass him in class.

"The kid next to me saw it. He said, 'What does that mean?' And I tried to tell him and the teacher kind of butted in and said it is a terrorist organization ... and the people that run it are all terrorists," Rashed said.

After the incident Rashed transferred to Calvine High School, and he said he got the shock of a lifetime when the FBI showed up to interrogate him.

"We hope this doesn't happen to any 16-year-old or any minor. The parents should be notified ... and we hope the FBI doesn't investigate people for their political views," said Basim Elkarra, of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

relative, student, teacher, whoever, whatever. Please have your papers in order before reporting any citizen....
