peloisi? anyone know about her business anti labor
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 03:04 PM by seabeyond
as she promotes labor party in house.

i know i spelled her name wrong.

right wing brother started talking politics last night after a year ban. i pointed out a lot of things he "didnt" know. go figure. listens to hannity, oreilly (honest, straight, upfront kinda guy, wink) and rush. i was telling him about some of the known lies they characters spout and of course he always came back with a dem story. he said peloisi has a couple restaraunts and refuses union and some wine vineyard, has received chavez? award and refuses labor union pickers.

does anyone know the story. sounds like straight out of mouth of rush

1. not supported
Why regurgitate and disseminate the rumor if it's unfounded (not supported)?

12. Without evidence, it is by definition "unfounded."

3. Timing of "question" is suspicious
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 03:13 PM by blue2helix
Especially on such a grand day for Pelosi and the Democratic party. As a general rule, you shouldn't repeat and spread such bad pr without doing your homework yourself.

By "asking" the question you are simply spreading the rumor. It's an old negative pr trick.

Perhaps you were unwittingly used by your freeper brother.

i felt like he heard this a while ago with our conversation. this was not forefront information to attack democrats. facts arent a bad thing. bummer that it fell on the day they took down patriot. cool that they did. i still have the question and suspect it isnt true. there are people here from calif that just might know. this is a discussion board, i am asking a question

7. Google took 5 seconds
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 03:23 PM by blue2helix
I used google and it took 5 seconds to come up with a multitude of references. You obviously have access to the internet. So why ask?

15. Common Negative PR Trick
"facts aren't a bad thing"

That's the problem, you are disseminating harmful information without knowledge of the facts. Questions are a great way to spread unfounded "facts."

I'm not accusing you, I'm just pointing out a freeper tactic that you may not be aware of.

16. i want to know if this is true. i dont believe it. it might have come
up already. someone MAY already have information available. you told me to google an easy 30 sec. so what did you find? is it unfounded. i dont give a shit if it is true of peloisi or not. personally i dont see it as an indictment against her and what she accomplishes in the house. i suspect though there is more to the story. and if i can get more to the story then i can put that out. there is a book i have learned on this thread that has this information on a number of democrats. doesnt seem to be unknown. i found that interesting and relevent there is a handy little book. did you find out that in your google? you could have shared. then it wouldnt be unfounded..... it would at least direct where this information is coming from

the board is for what..... gaining information and knowledge. and now you point a finger at me and say, bad you for looking for information and knowledge. i really dont care if you are dem or repug, not gonna shut up because you tell me to

4. it comes from the same place that says Michael Moore
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 03:14 PM by jonnyblitz
owns Halliburton stock. the book is called "Do as I say (Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy) by Peter Schweitzer. I saw the author on C-SPAN's book tv talk about this and other things so i checked the book out of my local library for shits and giggles. I have no idea how true it is. The book has chapters on Noam Chomsky , Ted Kennedy, and George Soros also. Once I read the book I realized where all this crap I was hearing was coming from.

immigrants to pick grapes at wine vineyard(s)her and her husband own in CA. while singing the praises of Caeser Chavez. (I am paraphrasing).

I just HAD to read that book for some reason. Hillary is in it too of course.

Even those who love the book appear not to have read it.

14. I am sure the book is popular on the RW talk show circuit..
if you get a chance read some of the amazon.com reviews, particulary the ones that give it a low rating. it would be nice if some enterprising individual with research skills and free time could check out all his assertions , hopefully to REFUTE them all and put the info on a website like what was done with Coulter's first book. that would suck if everything were true. LOL :P

17. well they lie about f*ckin everything. and truth be told, i really dont
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 03:59 PM by seabeyond
see dem in the hypocrisy the repugs so readily live in. so i am saying there is more to the story. and yes, for the person with time to be able to clarify some of this stuff. i listened to a little of the halliburton stuff on moore, but really i dont get outraged by that stuff. could have been investment as a group packaging, not even knowing it was halliburton. i dont know. i dont know if moore has made a statement or where that story left off to be truthful. just didnt really believe brother and so much of what the limbaughs say are lies. or exaggerations. or misrepresentations

there is a site, is it snopes? that tells the lie media says.

19. i am not sure about snopes but I feel the same as you about
the other stuff. It still would be nice to know for sure though. RWers seem to think people with money can't advocate for the little guy for some reason.
