In survey of ten US presidents, Bush fares badly

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush ranks as the least popular and most bellicose of the last ten U.S. presidents, according to a new survey.

Only nine percent of the 662 people polled picked Bush as their favorite among the last 10 presidents. John F. Kennedy topped that part of the survey, with 26 percent, closely followed by Bill Clinton (25 percent) and Ronald Reagan (23 percent).

Bush was also viewed as the most warlike president (43 percent), the worst for the economy (42 percent) and the least effective (33 percent). But he was rated most highly in response to a question on who would do the right thing even if it were unpopular.

4. WTF?
"But he was rated most highly in response to a question on who would do the right thing even if it were unpopular."

This idiot wouldn't recognize the 'right thing' if it walked up to him on the street, and bit him in the ass.

9. If he did do the right thing, it would be by accident.
Now, I do agree that he likes to make unpopular decisions, so if he accidentally did the right thing, he might let it stand. ;)

I can't believe that he was highly rated on doing the right thing even it were unpopular, because W NEVER does the right thing, imho.

I think if you asked if he would do the dumb thing even if he knew it were dumb, he would rank most highly on that.

17. Bush is flaming out.
The news is coming faster and faster! Today we have a HUGH revelation about domestic spying (4th amendment, anyone?) coming right on top of the Pentagon database which came right after the secret gulags. It's like the wheels are coming off the wagon while we watch. I'm lovin' it!

They richly deserve every bit of what they are about to get.

27. reagan SHOULD be in single digits, but the press has canonized him
since he left office. His popularity will dip when his papers are FINALLY outed.. Even though they have been scrubbed for 20 + years, they cannot get it all:)
