1. Ben Franklin said it best
"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

2. You obviously don't get the big picture ...
The Chimp-in-Charge has told us repeatedly that we're the target of terrorists because they hate us for our freedoms. He's just ensuring that we HAVE NO FREEDOMS, so the terrorists will leave us alone.

He's making America safer by the minute!

(Guess I'd better turn on the :sarcasm: )

4. If you traded liberty for security, you are a traitor and a slave
Now step aside and let the real Americans show you how it's done.

5. Boy I'm with you on that!! Ordinarily I oppose slavery,
but having a few freepers around to help out with the chores would be nice. Yes, In New America, the former redneck bushbots now play step & fetch for their liberal overlords. </fantasy>

Perhaps we should start calling ourselves the Neo-Militia. Re-establishing Freedom in America...for those who deserve it.

6. What about the non-redneck bushbots and the redneck liberals?
There are plenty of those. :)

8. well right after 9/11 i was okay with it. said well they can look at
me -- i have nothing to hide. but when they take a group of quaker women having a meeting about peace and label them a "threat" -- that's going too far. and if they're looking at us here on the DU i guess we'd all we considered a "threat" inasmuch as we're against the war and against bushco. so what are they going to do -- come to our homes and arrest us -- ship us to GITMO. it's scary.

11. i haven't flown since 9/11 -- but my husband flies quite a bit for
business. of course, he's familiar with the routine and knows what to expect. but 3 years ago, when my mom flew here -- she was stopped and searched twice. she was 80 years old at the time and believe me -- she looked 80. she's very frail. they took away her little scissors. it was a quiet time of the evening that she came in and i guess the employees had to show that they were doing their job.
