It's amazing that the president of the U.S. got on national television,
admitted to 30 counts of high crimes, and the only thing coming from it is that he's upset somebody would blow the whistle on him being a major criminal!

OUTRAGEOUS!!

1. It's come that far, Walt...
And furthermore, he's going to continue, and nobody can do a damn thing about it. And he's mad!

7. Like when Rumsfield stated during the Abu Ghraib .......
inquiry how he was upset at 'all the little cell phone cameras' out there able to record these things. Another jaw dropping moment. He was more upset that there were pictures of these things than the actual torture abuse itself. This administration is Fascist, how much more has to be spelled out for America to see this? EOM.

22. Please don't compare George III with Mad Little Georgie
George III was an okay monarch, a very intelligent man, a very nice man, a great husband at a time when kings weren't and weren't expected to be. Some bad advice and some opportunistic New Englanders is what smeared his rep. Hey, I started wishing a while ago that the AR never happened -- Canada certainly seems to have made out okay.

3. I was thinking the same thing
Any sane Republican should be calling for impeachment right now, but then any sane Republican got out of politics a long time ago.

19. Hell, even some of the INSANE Republicans are starting to wake up
Bob Barr was certainly never mistaken for "sane". But he's completely rational compared to this Fraudministration and those supporting it.

5. I'm still a little in shock about, others may be too. This is...
...the unmasking moment: the moment where he actually admits crimes like it was nothing. This is pretty freaky.

14. Yes, it is. And if it's so important that the "terra-ists"
not know that the government is doing this, why did he get on national television and emphasize it?

12. BUSH to LEHRER
from http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/white_house/july-dec05/bush_12-16-05.html
JIM LEHRER: Mr. President, in all due respect, don't you believe that answer is going to lead people to believe that you're confirming that in fact you did this?

PRESIDENT BUSH: We don't talk about sources and methods. Don't talk about ongoing intelligence operations. I know there's speculation. But it's important for the American people to understand that we will do-- or I will use my powers to protect us, and I will do so under the law, and that's important for our citizens to understand.

JIM LEHRER: I don't want to "beat a dead horse" here, Mr. President--

PRESIDENT BUSH: Okay.

JIM LEHRER: --but the story is now all over the world.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Yeah.

President Bush and Jim LehrerJIM LEHRER: I mean, it's on the front page of the New York Times, the Washington Post, every newspaper in America today, and it's going--it's the main story of the day. So--

PRESIDENT BUSH: It's not the main story of the day.

JIM LEHRER: Well, but I mean in terms of the way it's being covered--

PRESIDENT BUSH: The main story of the day is the Iraqi election.

JIM LEHRER: Right, and I'm going to get to that.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Okay.

17. So now he thinks he is a news editor as well as a dictator?
Apparently he is taking the Leona Helmsley approach that laws are only for "little people".

13. Might as well admit that 9-11 was an inside Job and get mad at detractors
Treason, plain and simple, he broke his oath of office.
He thinks that in order to defend the constitution he
needs to break it. Impeach the son of a bitch.......
He really is a son of a bitch if you look at his mother.

15. I think the fact that he got on TV and defiantly declared that, yes, he
violated the Constitution and will continue doing so, indicates that he feels that he is able to operate with total impunity. And with a Republican Congress, it's obvious that he is able to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants and to whomever he wants. The arrogance in his pronouncement this morning has really left me totally stunned.
