Who was the brain trust who claimed this would be a mild winter?
Living in TX, I hate to complain about the cold because it's usually so hot here, but damn-is-it-cold!
Is it milder than normal anywhere in the US?

2. It's global warming
And of course the non-scientific freepers think this cold weather proves that global warming is a myth. LOL

To answer your question, yes, we are having unusually cold weather here in KC. We had a horrific snow storm here last week and it is unusual for us to have much snow before Christmas. Now today, it is snowing again. Last week we got 10", today they say 1-3".

6. You made me feel bad, proud2Blib. I'm
complaining about cold temps-around 47 here and I suspect that will be today's high, rainy and windy and yucky. But all that snow; I'll shut up now. :)

4. And that was what was
supposed to happen with global warming.

It's a bit colder than usual here in Toronto, but it's a great deal milder than usual in the NWT and the Yukon.......and that was predicted too.

7. South California's about right. . .
been some unusual fluctuations through the year, but overall it hasn't been much different from other drought-stricken years. Hope it rains a lot this winter. And if you don't mind, hope the cold stays out your direction. . .

11. 3rd real snow of the season in Denver Metro, but temps have been down.
We're behind on precipitation, but the average temp has been lower than normal.

Brain trust needs to eat more brain food, sounds like.

13. It's mild in Alaska...
...sadly. We started out with a nice, old-fashioned cold November with lots of snow, but in December we've already had two heat waves into the 40s which makes it just sloppy here and totally unsatisfactory. It's 37 now. This is just unnatural.

18. It's mild
If your average temperature at this time of year is somewhere between -30 and -40C......-40C is the same in celcius and farenheit.
