When he says all Americans should pray for our wonderful General, does that include Muslims? Or is it safe to assume, considering the source, he means "real" Americans, i.e. Southern Baptists?

1. Southern Baptists are special
and down here in the south, we're used to their eccentricities. Even god-toting generals engaging in a theological pissing contest.

2. Well accoreng to Boykin we are a Christian nation you know
so if you are Catholic, Jewish or Muslim, don't even try to be
part of it... so what is next, expulsion of the non believers?

3. "real" Americans
I'd imagine that those types think that if you aren't a "good Christian" like them, you don't deserve to be and American citizen. Strip all heretics of their citizenship and send them to France.

I don't think I could be more tired of these zealots. These people wouldn't be happy if non-believers were lynched with a new rope.

:grr:
(sorry about the venting)

4. Every so often I wonder...
just why was it so important to "preserve the union."

Could Lincoln have been... wrong?
