Help Needed With Voting Picture
http://www.vote.wa.gov/outreach/Key_Into_Freedom/curriculum/lesson_1/display_page.tpl?P=1b&T=3

I'd like a more expert opinion on this first picture then my eyeball. There is a sign on the left hand side that appears to be tacked on to a board or something.

I'm not sure the sign was in the original photo. But look around the lettering of "Vote Here." The run of the grain changes. In fact, it looks very much like there is a square within the sign that is shaded differently.

I'm assuming this sign was "created" for the most part.

Am I correct?

How common are "Vote Here" signs at polling places?

Thanks for the help!

2. Yeh, I know
Thanks for the laugh.

But seriously, I need an evaluation to back up my own about the picture with the sign in it on that site.

6. OMG, you have a picture of an NCR Receipt Box next to the Diebold box

I have one of those, worked for NCR for many years.

That's why I'm so interested in helping with the BBV stuff. I worked on all kinds of computer systems in banking and retail where we programmed and configured (and helped audit) systems with transaction journals, recipts, batch balancing, total balancing, etc.

What a stitch to see that.

3. They're standard issue at IL polling places.
Usually a US flag on a white background (12" x 16"?) with the words "Vote Here" in red, and placed right at the entrance to the polling place.

4. It looks original to me
I think the weird "change in grain" you are seeing is the result of the pixellation of the photo, rather that the fact that the words were added later.
