NYT needs to come clean now!
Edited on Mon Dec-19-05 07:20 PM by Check12
The NYT confessed to bowing under pressure from the Bush Administration to withhold explosive information concerning President Bush’s, and other members of his Administration’s, blatant abuse of the Constitution. Bush was currently running for reelection and did not want knowledge of his malfeasance to be made public.

By failing to stand up for their own rights, the Times failed all America. By failing to fulfill their obligations the Times failed America. Their thirteen month late mea culpa does not relieve them of responsibility for contributing to the harm done to America and the world by the right-wing extremists of the Bush Administration. Had they published Bush’s high crimes and misdemeanors when they first learned of them he very probably would not have been reelected. They effectively became the Supreme Court of 2004.

They have also admitted that they have additional information about this and that they are still withholding it from the public.

These people have got to come clean and publish this additional information immediately!

2. The NYT has become an arm of the bush propaganda machine..
look at all the "coincidences" within the past few years that have favored the bush administration. They've been covering for and abetting this bunch of crooks for some time. From Judas Miller's "catapulting" the bush propaganda in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq right up this journalistic moral and ethical collapse. "The Paper of Record" has become a second rate rag with all the integrity of "The Weekly World News".
The Sulzberger family has controlled the NYT since 1896 and Arthur Ochs Salzberger Jr., the present chairman of The New York Times Company and publisher of "The Times" is undoubtedly the WORST chairman in it's history. Sulzberger is as inept and morally bankrupt as george w. bush himself. The two deserve and mirror each other. Both came from rich families, were spoiled beyond belief, both have a sense of entitlement and neither has ever been allowed to fail. Someone has always been there to cushion their failures and convince them that rather than failing, they have indeed succeeded. Both live a life of illusion and both are running their respective charges into the ground.

The NY Times called me a conspiracy dead ender who couldn't accept the outcome
of the 04 election. They dutifully printed the rove produced horse shit that "the miracle
of the exurbs and people of faith put bush over the top. Even when the slightest look
at the #s, exit polls, and the numerous accounts of "glitches" which all seemed to favor bush
would have at least given pause to any serious investigative journalist.

They are no longer part of the solution but are part of the problem. Sadly CBS news
now seems headed down the same path.

The times just now has discovered that Diebold is a problem.
