Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country
Jimmy, you've said as much, but you need to restate it again in stronger terms.

Gerald, I would ask you if you were better -- may you get well soon.

Nancy, you know what Ronnie would have said -- you need to say it for him.

George H. W., I know he's your son, but if rumors are true, you've already reached the same conclusion; you need to come out and say it -- and tell Barbara to stuff a sock in it.

Al, Dan, Bob, you need to weigh in as well.

And Bill. Bill, it's time for you to step up, big dog. You have to put principle ahead of politics. No matter how it might affect Hillary's chances. She'll thank you for it someday.

You all have to publically denounce this administration -- Bush, Rove, Gonzalez, Cheney, Rice, the whole rotten, stinking cabal. You have to get out front and make the case that for the good of the nation, these men and women must be removed from office, the sooner the better. I'm not talking some kind of coup, understand. Our constitution, what's left of it, provides a means of doing this -- it's called impeachment. You must loudly, boldly, call for this to happen. If you do it together, the congress will, must listen. They cannot ignore you. The media cannot ignore you. The country cannot ignore you. But you must work in concert, and fast.

It's possible that you have already been discussing this amongst yourselves. If so, watch your back. But personal safety must take a back seat to the safety of the nation.

Two hundred and thirty years ago a group of men, mostly young, well-educated, successful, wrote these words: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

These men knew that when they put their name to these words that they were possibly signing their death warrant. Nonetheless, they pledged to each other their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. If you take seriously the responsiblility we as citizens have intrusted to you over the years, you can do no less.

Excellent post. I would hope that all the Dems and all other true patriots get together to put together a plan for the next step. Who knows, maybe they are busy doing this right now. We haven't heard much from Dean in the last few days. I bet we'll hear from him soon, and it will be great!

I agree completely we need very badly to be hearing from all these people NOW!

22. I'd take Quayle over ANY member of this administration anyday.
This country has NEVER seen this level of malfeasance at this high level of government, and with so little attendant outrage among those who can actually DO something about it. Even Dan Quayle would be a breath of fresh air compared to the current mob in the White House.

Sure, Dan Quayle was a light-weight, but I never got the sense of rabid venality that the Boy King projects. He wouldn't have to say much, but having him up there, along side the other ex-presidents and vice-presidents would say enough.

This administration IS a domestic tyranny!

Never EVER would I have EVER imagined that ANY American administration would engage in so much abuse of power. It is insane, what has happened, is happening under the BushCO/neoconster regime. Insane!
