bush has called us Defeatists, & in a sense, we are
because i keep hearing certain of those among us saying that there is literally, virtually absolutely nothing we can do to stop them. in this sense, we are defeatists.

we admit defeat when this is our attitude.

2. We're not going to stop them if we can't get a majority somewhere
All this talk about timelines and impeachments are inspirational but do nothing knowing that Frist & Hasert will never debate this on their respective congressional floors.

It doesn't help when I come here to DU and read how some members won't vote for a Moderate/DLC candidate even in the general elections. I appreciate that primaries we should find more progressive democrats but after the primaries it's time we need to fight for the majority.

Words are inspirational but we need action. Let's use these words as our call to action. If we are enlightened by the words of Reid, Boxer, Feingold, Conyers, Pelosi, Murtha etc - imagine what they could do if we deliver a majority to them where they can convert their words to real action!!

4. We are the majority
Once people finally see it, we can win this battle. Unfortunately, our media is doing their best to hide it and make us think we're in the narrow minority.

8. Yes, I agree
I've been directly involved with local Registrar of Voters issues, machine issues, everything. The corruption there has been assembled and placed for more than 30 years. However, if the people rise up out of their comfy sofas and fight back, we can make a huge difference. Unfortunately, I see too many people not willing to put out the fight, only words. I continue to hope one of these outrageous acts of the administration or congress will finally bring people to their feet.

5. My old man came close to throwing me and my friend out of the house.
He is a Vietnam Vet and just came totally unglued at both of us.

Said the crowed I hang around with are 1) losers 2) wimps 3) wouldn't even fight for America if they had to and 4) 2005 style hippies that lost vietnam for us. Heck, I wasn't even born until 1988 so how would I know anything about vietnam.

Told me he is going to start tracking the cookies of where I have been on the internet and if I am going to the wrong places he is taking the computer and locking it up in their room.

Maybe I will just leave. That will fix him.

6. I don't think it is a matter of can't but won't
The lack of action from Democrats began with the selection in 2000 and has been getting no better as th time goes by.. If Democrats had stood up for America we may not be in the situation we are currently in. I expect it to get no better because any Democrat that speaks out is immediately shouted down by the DLC...
