I've always said Repubs just want to take guns away last
When idiot freeptards start going on about Democrats want to take guns away, I always say that Repubs do to, but they want to do it last. Idiots don't get it. They think everything's AOK so long as they have their guns. They see gun ownership as the only right that's worthwhile. Well, it is going on-the 4th amendment is dead now, and these jackasses are cheering because they don't care about liberties, they just want their guns. All our rights will go if this gang of thieves stays in power, and freeptards won't notice until the last one goes-the 2nd amendment-and then it'll be too late. What's the point of owning a gun to protect liberty if you don't have liberty to protect?

1. Don't forget to add that Waco was Bush1's ATF trying to finish their 4yr
assignment surveilling Koresh. They hurried to finish it before the new Clinton team had time to unpack.

2. Agreed.....
...people seem to have little issue with rights being abridged that do not affect them directly.

The erosion of the 4th & 5th under the War on Drugs is a good example. I'll add DUI checpoints and car confiscation to that. It is seen as part of the public good even when the very foundations of these rights are being dismantled. Guns should be banned for societal good, screw that 2nd amendment.

That is what Bush is trying to play here, we needed to violate the 4th for a societal good (ie security).

3. The only time I've really seen mass gun confiscation has been under
Bush during Katrina.

4. Good point
And yet the gunhuggers (BTW I own guns, but I'm not fanatical about them) praise their lord and savior Bush. Maybe they don't think it counts in that case, since all the victims of Katrina were criminals anyway :sarcasm:
