This one is eminently escapable. The echo chamber is already booming "he's just trying to protect us," and "every other president did it too," and "he probably was authorized anyway."

I'm not here to dash anyone's hopes, but still -- if they won't impeach him for war crimes, do you think they will for a little "technical" violation?

I don't think so.

"he's just trying to protect us," ... from our own Civil Liberties
"every other president did it too," ... protected us without violating our civil liberties. Many good Americans have died to protect our Civil Liberties (from those who would take them away).
"he probably was authorized anyway."... authorized to protect Our Civil Liberties, not DESTROY THEM.

The difference between the "war crimes" stuff and this issue, is that this issue is ABOUT OUR VERY FREEDOM AND BUSH ADMITTED HE BROKE THE LAW ON NATIONAL T.V. Building a case for impeachment on the "war crimes" issue will be difficult, building a case for Impeachment on VIOLATING THE FOURTH AMMENDMENT OF THE U.S. Constitution and other U.S. Code of Law is SIMPLE.

So what do we do? I've emailed my senators and congresspeople to push this. I think it's too early to take to the streets, but not too early to begin organizing.

Let's just keep Ramsey Clark out of the mix, because his credibility is lower than Der Chimpenfuhrer's.

White 'Murrikans, just them greasy A-rabs you reference above. Or their supporters. Or their fellow travellers. Or their sympathizers.

And none of THEM are White (are they?) Surely not ME!

We don't know anything about the people the NSA has intercepted communications on. And it doesn't matter. It's against the law and Bush admitted it. End of Story. Period. (boy he's got really dumb counsel).

get mad. When it's just some "other" people whose rights are being violated, nobody cares. :hurts:
