5. Clearly, he did it with puppies. Great Dane puppies.
And Cheney keeps the album in a secure location.

4. Well . . .
he'd hug him higher, but that's as far as his arms will go. Bastard!

It's easy to say you'd disclose, but he didn't get the "meeting" with Big Time Dick Cheney like Rockefeller did. Rocky was so rattled he wrote one of those "I'm-putting-a-copy-of-this-in-a-secret-place" letters. I'm guessing it takes a *bunch* to spook a Rockefeller. He's got enough scratch to buy the whole damned Bush Administration for what they're worth and buy them from himself for what they think they're worth.

he was tortured for 5 1/2 years.

The N Vietnamese would tie their hands behind their backs & then suspend them from the tied hands.

Hate him for his politics, but don't make fun of his physical disabilities.

Edited to add:
I see you live in Beckley...I lived in St Albans a while back. Not far.

10. Actually, I despise him
for a number of reasons, one being his failure to defend his wife and child against the Bushevik smears during the 2000 campaign and another being his "heroics" in flying 40000 feet over North Vietnam, dropping ordinance on civilian targets and civilian people. I realize he was "only following orders," but we made some pretty heady pronouncements about that kind of claim a few decades back.

Always glad to see a fellow denizen of the hills!

6. Reminds me of this

Painting or graffiti based on a press photo of former Soviet president Leonid Brezhnev and former East German head of state Erich Honecker. The picture has the subtitle in Russian and German: "Oh God help me to overcome this deadly love". The mural is by the now famous Russian artist Dmitry Vrubel.

It is painted directly onto the section of wall on the East Berlin side near the River Spree. The picture was completed after the tumultuous events of November 1989.

I saw this painting on the remains of the Berlin Wall when I visited Germany in 1997.

8. Again?
I don't think he ever left really. They had a tiff, but he never moved out.

McCain is a Fascist.

I'm sick of this Bush-fellating thug being portrayed as a decent man. He switches his "decency" on and off like a light switch, when it suits.

Here's the story/pertinent grafs, since I didn't see it ref'd in this particular thread.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/20/AR2005122000685.html

Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.) revealed Monday that he had written to Vice President Cheney the day he was first briefed on the program in July 2003, raising serious concerns about the surveillance effort. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she also expressed concerns in a letter to Cheney, which she did not make public.

The chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), issued a public rebuke of Rockefeller for making his letter public.

In response to a question about the letter, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) suggested that Rockefeller should have done more if he was seriously concerned. "If I thought someone was breaking the law, I don't care if it was classified or unclassified, I would stand up and say 'the law's being broken here.' "

Sure you would, McCain. Just like you stood up and bitch-slapped O'Neill and the Shit Floaters last year, and refused to support Chimpy unless he did likewise... right?
