1. FUBAR? Stands for F*ck Us ...?
I hate acronyms...I am such a bad guesser. tell me what it means so I don't have to go turn on the TV.

4. Dare we hope? The 'No' votes seem to be prevailing.
Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 10:27 AM by TahitiNut
This Conference Report is an abomination of greed ... enriching the wealthy and jettisoning the middle class and working poor and students.

Even Nelson (DINO-Neb) voted 'No.' as did Susan Collins.

5. It's interesting how the female Senators want to be addressed.
It's Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Collins, but Ms. Landrieu and Ms. Snowe.

6. It's been very strange so far this morning
Vote to waive the first point of order did not pass, but the chair ruled against the point of order anyway. So, now they are voting on the bill ... and it looks promising.

When did C-SPAN stop showing the yea and nay votes!

Cheney votes! ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

10. I don't think they ever have in the Senate
The House votes are electronic; the Senate's are not.

13. Notice that Stevens is the chair right now ... in his HULK tie!
They are only giving him 5 minutes to talk today and 5 minutes that he will control. Keep the ambulance handy!
