Some Excellent PROGRESSIVE(!) Sites
Thought I would take a minute and share a few links to some good - PROGRESSIVE - sites. No limousine liberals in this bunch. These are all great sources of information from PROGRESSIVE thinkers in the tradition of Fightin' Bob La Follette...generally considered the founder of modern-day PROGRESSIVISM. Here we go!

The PROGRESSIVE Magazine
http://www.progressive.org/

Jim Hightower - Texas Populism and A Fiery PROGRESSIVE
http://www.jimhightower.com/

Labor Notes - Putting the Movement Back in the Labor Movement
http://labornotes.org/

America's Most PROGRESSIVE Labor Union
http://www.seiu.org/

Fighting Bob (Ed Garvey's Site In Wisconsin)
http://www.fightingbob.com

Molly Ivins - Current Column & Archives
http://www.dfw.com/mld/startelegram/news/columnists/molly_ivins/

Barbara Ehrenreich - The Epitome Of PROGRESSIVE
http://www.nickelanddimed.net/

The Madison CapitalTimes - America's Only PROGRESSIVE Daily Newspaper - Editorial Page Link
http://www.madison.com/captimes/opinion/

Dollars & Sense - PROGRESSIVE Economics
http://www.dollarsandsense.org/

Representative Bernie Sanders - A True-Blue PROGRESSIVE In Congress
http://bernie.house.gov/

Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr. - Another PROGRESSIVE In Congress
http://www.jessejacksonjr.org/

The PROGRESSIVE Populist - One Of The Most Underrated Publications
http://www.populist.com

Democracy Now! - PROGRESSIVE Broadcasting
http://www.democracynow.org/

AlterNet - Taking Back The Media
http://www.alternet.org/

Mother Jones Magazine - Still Fighting For PROGRESSIVE Values
http://www.motherjones.com/index.html

A PROGRESSIVE Take On Venezuela (Great Film)
http://www.chavezthefilm.com/index_ex.htm

UTNE READER - The "Reader's Digest" of PROGRESSIVE Thought
http://www.utne.com/

Don't Let The "S" Word Scare 'Ya!
http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html

William Greider - They Don't Get Much Better Than This
http://www.williamgreider.com/

Fairness & Accuracy In The Media - Truth MATTERS
http://www.fair.org/

PROGRESSIVE Thinking Is Peacful
http://www.igc.apc.org/home/peacenet/index.html

GNN - Cutting Edge Progressivism
http://www.guerrillanews.com/

IN THESE TIMES - Great Magazine
http://www.inthesetimes.com/

A PROGRESSIVE Running For President of the United States
http://www.kucinich.us/

All of these come from a traditionally PROGRESSIVE (not liberal) point-of-view. No, it's not a matter of "definition." It really does mean something to be a PROGRESSIVE. When asked by a person in a Q&A session what one issue separates PROGRESSIVES from liberals, Jim Hightower answered without hesitation: NAFTA. Most would think that is a good answer. Why? NAFTA flies in the face of the BEDROCK of PROGRESSIVE thought: Organized Labor and populist economics.

ENJOY!

17. Thanks! Here's another Pacifica link...
After a rough time, Pacifica needs our support again. Still the best news on the radio! Here is KPFA's (the Pacifica flagship) web site, which has a lot more content (current and archived) than the main Pacifica site does.

http://www.kpfa.org/

I think they are trying to let the individual stations handle the programming content on their own sites. I'm glad you mentioned this.
