My Tarot Cards Say
Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 12:18 PM by ThomWV
That the real political crisis in this country will come shortly after the Senate's Judiciary and Intelligence Committees begin their in-depth review of the legality of bush's spying on US Citizens and the exclusion of the third branch of Government from that Governmental activity.

Prediction: The bush administration will refuse to turn over any information on intercepts already completed or activity in progress at the time. None, nada, zilch, squat.

And then boys and girls we will see some real fireworks.

1. And did the cards have an outcome?
I don't have any here at work, but my thought is that the SCOTUS will step in and say cough 'em up.

26. This is precisely why we must delay Alito
Once he is in...int's over. Bye-bye Constitution and any thought of saving the Republic. We must insist upon hearings/impeachment before any more appointments are made.

and can report with my Usual Infallibility (TM) that 4th-AmmendmentGate will hit the fan with a nauseatingly foul splatter by and during the Spring of 2006.

The Beans thus hath spaken on the matter of BushCo treason and malfeasance, etc., ad nauseum.

12. Exactly

Bush said he did it in the name of "terrorism" but if that's true why did he go around the NSA? Why was Rockefeller so concerned he didn't let anybody type the report and know about it in his staff? I call bullshit on his "terrorism" nonsense. He was spying on average Americans and political opponents and possibly other republicans to blackmail them or something. Such as Frist, McCain, Hagel, Hassert, DeLay, Walter Jones who is now anti-war. That's why he went around the NSA. The NSA wouldn't have not given him a warrant if it truly was in the name of security. I have yet to sense anything with him passed mid/spring 2006. Hopefully it'll be sooner than that though.

14. Precisely
Because the lurking suspicion that so many of us have is that those spied on without court overview were POLITICAL OPPONENTS of the President, not enemies of the United States.

4. Of course they will refuse to turn over any information.
That's their modus operandi.

Nothing against Tarot cards, but you don't need them to predict what the bush administration will do. Mislead, evade and obstruct is their standard operating procedure.

25. I think that people who lecture the rest of us on what their tarot cards
say don't really need to be questioning other people's credibility.

Besides, calling people freepers is a big rule violation here.

9. It's really quite
the same old same old. I'm pResident so I can do what I damn well please. But if this was a democrat whether Clinton, Gore, Kerry or any one with a (d) after their name they would've been put in jail by now as Bush should be. He went on tv and said he broke the law and he didn't care. He knows nothing will happen to him. The proper authorites should have him in jail now instead of all this hearing nonsense. The judge resigning in protest really was very telling and told how he (Bush) was guilty. Just like everything else.
