rumsfeld: 'leaving Iraq would mean the u.s. would be attacked again
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 06:07 AM by mopaul
sounds like rummy is threatening us

"If we were to withdraw from Afghanistan precipitously, or from Iraq, the terrorists would attack us first somewhere else and then they would attack us at home, let there be no doubt," he said.

1. It's a pity that Rummy hadn't developed these psychic abilities
before the war or before 9/11. Putz.

18. He did have psychic powers/threat capability for 9/11
Have you ever read any of the 9/11 timelines? Rumsfeld was sitting in the Pentagon with Wolfowitz and a congressman, telling the congressman that the US was definitely going to be spectacularly attacked by terrorism -- and by "magic" his prediction/threat was punctuated by a plane crashing into the Pentagon. I guess he was just so giddy about the PNAC plan coming to fruition, he couldn't help gloat:

from the 9/11 timeline of CooperativeResearch

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/timeline.jsp?timeline=complete_911_timeline&day_of_9/11=donaldRumsfeld

<quote>

Before 8:46 a.m.): Rumsfeld Reportedly Predicts Terror Attacks

Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, and Representative Christopher Cox (R) are meeting in Rumsfeld's private Pentagon dining room, discussing missile defense. Rumsfeld later recalls, “I had said at an eight o'clock breakfast that sometime in the next two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve months there would be an event that would occur in the world that would be sufficiently shocking that it would remind people again how important it is to have a strong healthy Defense Department that contributes to—that underpins peace and stability in our world.” Wolfowitz recalls, “And we commented to them that based on what Rumsfeld and I had both seen and worked on the Ballistic Missile Threat Commission, that we were probably in for some nasty surprises over the next ten years.” There are confused accounts that Rumsfeld says, “I've been around the block a few times. There will be another event,” just before the Pentagon is hit by Flight 77, but such comments may have been made around this time instead. Rumsfeld says, “And someone walked in and handed a note that said that a plane had just hit the World Trade Center. And we adjourned the meeting, and I went in to get my CIA briefing ... right next door here .”

<end quote>

OMG! I'm sorry! Am I being a conspiracy theorist???

see in GD? Please post that, I'm here 6-8 hours a day gleaning info and I didn't know about it. Could you please post that in GD? I'll vote it up...With all the "pressure" they are putting on everyone to pass the Patriot Act, this needs to be seen. Pretty please with sugar on top??

22. Sorry no can do ...
Anything about 9/11 anamolies is banished from GD to the 9/11 dugeon forum, where it competes with theories about holograms and pods and area 51's involvement in the attacks.

24. That sucks....That seems really important in my opinion...I mean, that
isn't a theory, it's what the man said...They keep threatening everyone with what is going to happen if they don't get what they want. This clearly shows that he had some knowledge of the attack before it occurred. I love DU, but that sounds like a silly rule. I can understand it to a degree, but that seems a bit extreme to me...Do you know of any site where this stuff is addressed correctly? I don't want to miss out on anymore info...

26. The most reliable is the timeline ,,,
the site that I linked to. That is just the facts, no speculation. If you want to read about some very compelling theories based on physical evidence, look into the collapse of WTC 7, which NIST has not even tried to explain.

2. I guess what he is saying is that Iraq was full of terrorists prior to
the illegal and immoral invasion, and that we must stay and kill yet tens of thousands more. I guess he views this "enemy in Iraq" (mostly civilians who want us out of their country) as mindless dolts who cannot be dealt with in any other way than a military way. Everyone else knows that there is no military solution to Iraq now.... only Rummy maintains the fantasy that we are fighting "TERRORISTS" who meant to come over here and blow us up before he and shrubco decided that this whole thing was a great idea from the getgo.

36. Yep, doesn't make any sense at all -
Most of the 9-11 hijackers were Saudis who studied in Europe then came over and lived in the US. I don't quite understand how the War In Iraq can prevent that from happening again...

4. So?
You created a pile of shit by sheer stupidity. Now you live in fear of your own shadow.
2156 dead Americans soldiers and rising, thousands and thousands of dead women and children, almost half a trillion spend and still shout the same bushit. Gee all this going to keep rising.

You need a plan you dumb rummy. And keep paying and killing sure isnt a plan.
Stay stay stay thats all you dumb fuck shout. There are better way and you brain cant work at all but on this one way track.

911 is horrible but hey this price this way you doing more fucking damage than the terrorist could ever acheive.

I still cant figured out what the hell all this money spend and pain is all about. It is sure not about getting the terrorist.

If it is to get control of other countries you better go read your history. How did America acheive INDEPENDENT?

How did the Roman Empire collapse? Gee which part of impossible you didnt get.

Or are they only trying to avoid another 9/11 on their watch again.

19. How Does Rumsfeld Know This?
Could it be because...the neocons were really behind 9/11? Not that I have proof, mind you, but things seem awfully suspicious. That's why I wish it would come out if it were true. If *anything* would turn Republicans against this administration, that's it.

we be attacked if we withdrew our troops? It makes no fucking sense!
They just keep spewing the same nonsense over and over..Must invade sovereign nation (Terra!)..must illegally spy on citizens (Terra!)..must piss on Constitution...(Terra!)

The insurgents want us out of Iraq. Simple enough. If we aren't in Iraq, why would they attack anyone but each other? How are they going to get here? Camels? Two-man submarines? They don't have a navy or an air force. This imbecile doesn't even pretend to try and make sense anymore.
