10. voted NO but the question is loaded -

Bush could have gotten LEGAL authority to wiretap possible "terrorists." But since he was quite possibly wiretapping his political enemies, he didn't want any court to know.

11. Let me just say-it is a sad day for Bushco when Tucker Carlson
disagrees with him. Read his blog on the same page and I am in shock. It is pretty mild, but the message is there. Bush is toast.

16. HaHaHa...the final sentence on his blog is a hoot.
Do we really want to empower the president to ignore Congress, our most democratic institution? Bush's defenders aren't bothered by the idea because they trust Bush. But Bush won't be in office forever.

Will they feel the same way when Hillary is president?

Ditto to comments in post #10. The system in place should not have been a hinderance to preventing information gathering at all from what I understand. This administration is stupid out of control.

I'm always suspicious when the GOP promotes things supposedly in our favor.

Go Clark but if Sen. Clinton gets the nomination, then I'll say Go Hillary!

But it was a scathing article about Bush. Carlson has no love for Hillary, this was just his way of slamming her.

36. That's such a bogus premise. There is no either/or at stake.
We don't have to give up "privacy." What are they going to do next, claim a right to spy on all of us?

As usual, the bush administration is attempting to suppress the rights of all Americans, in a vain attempt to cover up their own incompetence of 9/11 LIHOP.

It is like he is conceding the point that Chimp is bad and trying to argue that at least he's not the worst. Good sign!
