Jeffords dissents on terrorism medals for Iraq service

Vermont politicians rule! :)

I'm all for soldiers getting well-deserved medals, but this does seem like a cheap stunt to link 9/11 to Iraq.

Sure is nice that a few members of Congress think before they vote occasionally. Kudos to Senator Jeffords on this one. I'm a bit disappointed no Democrat had the balls to vote against it, but god forbid a Democrat ever vote their conscience.

2. That is so sad.

For the remainder of their careers soldiers will be required to wear medals that will prove to be falsely awarded. Seems like in the 60's there was a medal that no self-respecting serviceman would wear (some Bay of Pigs item?). This one will have simlar status, I predict. There are more than enough other medals that soldiers will receive, don't need to create a bullshit medal to prop up the flimsy excuse offered for this war.
