Aside from the fact that the warrantless wiretaps Bush used were against communications with foriegn
nationals outside the U.S., aside from the fact that it was done to protect the country, aside from the
fact that FISA warrants can take days, even weeks to get and there was no time in these particular
cases, there is no legitimate argument here for impeachment. Clinton’s impeachment was over him telling
lies to a grand jury and committing perjury.It was all about him. This is about a president doing
something for the national interest,which is his constitutional mandate. The president is supposed to
protect the people from all enemies foreign and domestic. He was doing what he thought was right, to
those ends. And legally, he had legal precedent.

The Democrats seem to be willing to do anything to try to discredit Republicans in order to pick up
seats next year.It’s so transparent and sickening, they really should lose a lot more seats, if there
is any justice in the world.

Even more sickening is the way the NY Times and their echo chamber in the media, spun this as “The
President iscommitting illegal sureveillance on Americans”. That is a bald faced lie and they should
burn for that.

Lets see, we've got he was doing it for national security, only doing eavesdropping on furriners do its okay. Oh and here's the winner this scandal is bogus, democrats are just using it to pick up seats next year.A close tie is his defense of the Clinton impeachment " But, but Bush did it for our country so lying is ok!" They keep saying that this is being done to foreign nationals and non-citizens so basically the Constitution does not apply. This has been a meme from the treatment of detainees to secret wiretaps. This is something we really need to counter because most people will think "Oh if they're not citizens its ok"

Because Bush said so? I would take that with many grains of salt. I suspect he was really spying on his political opposition but I have no proof of that either.

We all have to get off our "lazy, Liberal and Elitist" butts, and challenge them with the facts every time they do this..instead of rolling on the floor laughing at their spiel( although I must admit, I do it too!) we have to remember that the Gaga-Heads,Ditto-Heads and Sheepie-Mehs believe every word of their crap.Rove's tactics are simple, but effective...one message, one voice, over and over and over and over..until the poor group-thinkers believe it.

We have to challenge them at every turn...get our own, "One Message, One Voice, Over and Over and Over" to counteract the Repugs.
