before Bush was elected the first time.I was 6 years old in 1950 when my Dad who was in the Army was sent to Germany,he took all of us with him.We got to learn a lot about Germany,about the people and what Hilter did,it really impacted me as a child. I am amazed that the son of Prescott Bush who supported Hilter and made war profits off the Holocaust and his grandson hold the highest office of this Nations.One would think with that kind of family back ground and disgrace they would never hold public office and the American public would never allow it.In the case of the Bush family,the apples haven't fallen to far from the tree,son like father and grandson like both of them.

Hardly anyone knows the history of the bush family.

So what's missing here? I've met John Loftus and am impressed with his integrity. (I also met someone else involved with hunting Nazis, another doJ official, who disagreed with some of the things Loftus said in his book.) I'm trying to put puzzle pieces together. (After all, Kennedy's father was a flagrant bigot and made his money during prohibition, if I recall correctly, but JFK was a very different man, politically, than his father. For all his personal foibles, JFK grew into the presidency and still inspires many of us.)

It would seem, on the surface, that Shrub has righted the wrongs of his father(s) (something Biblical in that, isn't there?). But I don't trust him, and I can't shake the feeling that his positive feelings for Israel, for Jews, and for religiosity among the Jews, covers something as sinister in its own way as his grandfather's callous financial dealings with the Nazis (may their names be blotted out) and his father's equally callous political maneuverings. Assume even that in his simplistic approach to life, Shrub is sincere - I'm convinced that even that sincerity is rooted in the sinister.

Even the good in him is evil, but I can't place it.

Can anyone help me out on this?

As World War Two was ending, Meyer Lansky made a calculated decision to throw the resouces of the mob in two directions. One was to invest in "legitimate business", particularly, gambling meccas, Vegas and Havana. The other was to buy influence within the Republican Party. John Foster Dulles and his brother Allen were the titular heads of the GOP at that time, and after the War the Dulles and Prescott-Walker-Bushes, along with the Texas oil crowd, created the Organized Crime-Spook alliance that was friendly to all anticommunists, Jews and ex-Nazis, alike.

Loftus has written about this alliance.

Strange bedfellows. Michael Ledeen, who is Jewish and a professed Fascist with deep ties to extreme Right-wingers in Italian and Israeli intelligence, is an exemplar of this type, and part of that gang.
