what will the reeking pile of excrement and his 'turds in ties' be known for?

bushies are an infection, a plague (and 'republicans' are among the first infected. bushies are not republican or conservative, they're bushies... unabashed corporate whores motivated by only unbridled greed.)

they will never do anything that does not contribute to their accumulation (uh, make that TRANSFER) of wealth for the .01% of the population.

will 'it' be remembered for his political 'trifecta' of HATE, FEAR and IGNORANCE?

will 'it' be remembered for his (apparently) endless and shameless LIES?

will 'it' be remembered for becoming the MOST HATED MAN ON EARTH, unable to appear anywhere on the planet w/o massive personal protest?

will 'it' be remembered for his destruction of the US economy?

will 'it' be remembered for fostering unprecedented righteous RAGE (while at the same time condemning any dissent as unpatriotic and blasphemous?)

ok, /rant off

had a bad day.... (of course, every day in that reeking pile of excrement's illegal occupation of the US is a bad day)

2. works for me!
Main Entry: mal·ice

Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French, from Latin malitia, from malus bad
Date: 14th century
1 : desire to cause pain, injury, or distress to another
2 : intent to commit an unlawful act or cause harm without legal justification or excuse

synonyms MALICE, MALEVOLENCE, ILL WILL, SPITE, MALIGNITY, SPLEEN, GRUDGE mean the desire to see another experience pain, injury, or distress. MALICE implies a deep-seated often unexplainable desire to see another suffer <felt no malice toward their former enemies>. MALEVOLENCE suggests a bitter persistent hatred that is likely to be expressed in malicious conduct <a look of dark malevolence>. ILL WILL implies a feeling of antipathy of limited duration <ill will provoked by a careless remark>. SPITE implies petty feelings of envy and resentment that are often expressed in small harassments <petty insults inspired by spite>. MALIGNITY implies deep passion and relentlessness <a life consumed by motiveless malignity>. SPLEEN suggests the wrathful release of latent spite or persistent malice <venting his spleen against politicians>. GRUDGE implies a harbored feeling of resentment or ill will that seeks satisfaction <never one to harbor a grudge>.

3. The word, 'malaise', was Carter's own.
And it was disasterous. In a speech in 1979 (?), he hinted that the problems at home were the fault of the American people, and their 'national malaise'. Now, whether this was true or not, if you are president, you do not SAY such a thing. I was speechless when he did it.

But I fear that * will be rememered for 'getting the US past 9/11'. If his handlers can sucessfully convey that LIE next year, he will get ELECTED without needing to steal FLA.

13. Read the Text For Yourself
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/carter/filmmore/ps_crisis.html

Ten days ago I had planned to speak to you again about a very important subject -- energy. For the fifth time I would have described the urgency of the problem and laid out a series of legislative recommendations to the Congress. But as I was preparing to speak, I began to ask myself the same question that I now know has been troubling many of you. Why have we not been able to get together as a nation to resolve our serious energy problem?

It's clear that the true problems of our Nation are much deeper -- deeper than gasoline lines or energy shortages, deeper even than inflation or recession. And I realize more than ever that as president I need your help. So I decided to reach out and listen to the voices of America.

That's a wee part of the ballsiest speech given by any president in the last 30 years.

15. Crisco, Thank you for that link. If I was not at work right now I
would be crying. The whole speech is incredible!

The most tearful part is where he says "There are two paths to choose. One is a path I've warned about tonight, the path that leads to fragmentation and self-interest. Down that road lies a mistaken idea of freedom, the right to grasp for ourselves some advantage over others. That path would be one of constant conflict between narrow interests ending in chaos and immobility. It is a certain route to failure"

Unfortunately this is the path raygun took us down and from which we still find ourselves on today. Truly sad.

Everybody should read the entire speech. And "ballsiest speech given by any president in the last 30 years" is an understatement.

Thank You again. Only if we could get some real leadership again.

That will be his domestic title.

Everyone outside of Gilead (nee America) will of course regard him as Hitler incarnate...

9. Don't flame me, but...
I think Bush will be known for beginning the downfall of the American Empire. Massive budget deficits, ill will around the world based on our arrogance.

Gore Vidal has said many times that the American Empire will go the way of all other empires in history. I wholeheartedly agree.

Bush will be known for presiding over the onset of the downfall of ours.
