4. 1 Diebold Machine in Volusia County, Forida changed the world.
ABC, CBS, & NBC had all called the election for Gore and the ONE DIEBOLD MACHINE gave
16,000 votes to bush ..... Florida election officials later blamed the error on a faulty
memory chip.

7. Not to mention the butterfly ballot that gave Pat Buchanan some
5,000 votes and the first person changing the call being Dubyah's cousin and the military votes that became such a hot-button issue that hundreds, if not thousands were allowed to come in late and the Republicans having access to absentee ballots and the state troopers in black neighborhoods and the felons list and Katherine Harris, just don't get me started on this. Brooks Brothers riots in Miami and et cetera. Don't get me started on this-the crappy judge that was assigned to the case. James Baker, slippery slope, Scalia's kids, Thomas's wife. Don't get me started on this. Fucking U.S. Supreme Court, Florida Legislature, please, don't get me started....

Gore won by 547 votes even with the Volusia County shenanigans.

DeLay's Brooks Brothers Riot. Katherine Harris, James Baker, Ted Olson. There were so many evil things at work. My favorite was their argument that America couldn't possibly wait as long as it would take to count the ballots. The people must know now! Yet, here we sit, along with the people of Iraq, waiting how long for the results of their election?

Another pile of crap brought to you by the BFEE.

data...what a bunch of losers.....and the lovely Vin Weber head of one of those crooked companies.

The "felon purge" was THE key element as I see it...it was a true conspiracy. The vendor, DBT actually warned the FL elections department that what happened would happen. 50K voters lose the right to vote.

Just awful, a crime, there is no statute of limitations, btw, so let's insist on investigations and prosecutions when we have a DOJ concerned with real justice!

Happy New Year

12. It never ceases to baffle me...
He lost the election TWICE and somehow he's still in the fucking Whitehouse. Isn't there something we can do? Reverse course, get his ass out of there? Invalidate his Presidency and get the rightful leadership in there?

I still held out hope that we would wake up from the nightmare of a W Presidency all the way up till Sept. 11th

He gave his little "you can run but you can't hide" speech, and I thought (Oh great, we're never getting rid of his ass now.) Any hope of us being able to wrest the power of our government from his spoiled little fingers was gone. Cause even though the tragedy was a result of his negligence, the sheep in this country clung to him like shit to a blanket. And damn if he didn't use that national tragedy to his greatest advantage. I've yet to hear him give a speech where he didn't try to envoke the memories of that day, the day of his greatest fuck up.

But now I have hope again. So many people are starting to see through the bullshit. Envoking the memory of Sept. 11th doesn't have the same effect that it used to. It's starting to piss people off, they are starting to see that he only uses their memories to toy with their emotions, to push there buttons to get the support he needs to further his agenda. When people realize their buttons are being pushed, when they realize they are being manipulated, it infurates them.

Now that so many people are finally begining to see how dishonest this man is, will they now recognize that he was never even elected to the office? And once that realization was made. Can we begin to undo the damage, can we unmake the disaster that has been the Bush Presidency? Can we finally, at long last unseat him? Can we finally get the President we actually elected into the Whitehouse?

41. Before the 2004 Election, the SCOTUS ruled on a case from Florida.
Under Republican rule, the State of Florida opposed releasing the names of voters who were purged from the voting registers. Someone in the media challenged Florida's secrecy of their purge list to the SCOTUS. In the SCOTUS, the State of Florida admitted that it had wrongfully purged thousands of voters from heavily democratic precincts, which happened to be directed by Katherine Harris.

The SCOTUS ruled that the State of Florida had to allow access to the purge list before the 2004 Election, so wrongfully purged voters could have the opportunity to correct the record before the election.

Now here is the wake up call to all those who do not believe we live under an undemocratic regime.

The Supreme Court of the United States of America had the State of Florida, who the SCOTUS had handed GW Bush the victory over Gore based on less than 600 votes and the Presidency of the U.S., ADMITTING THEY WRONGFULLY did not allow several thousand people the right to vote in heavily democratic precincts (Gore voters). What did the SCOTUS do about this revelation of electioneering in the very state that they wrongfully awarded to Bush in 2000?

Just a tap on Florida's wrist, by telling them they cannot cheat that way again.

Gore questions Bush's competence in Georgetown speech
by Leila Taha
Issue date: 10/21/04

Former Vice President Al Gore said President Bush always wanted to invade Iraq in a speech at Georgetown University Monday.
Media Credit: David Ediger

Former Vice President Al Gore said in a Monday speech at Georgetown University that the Bush administration had always wanted to invade Iraq and never considered more peaceful options

"We were told by the president that war was his last choice," Gore said. "It is now clear from the newly available evidence that it was always his first."

<snip>

On Monday, he accused the president of "a willful refusal to even consider alternative opinions or conflicting evidence, that poses the most serious danger to the country."

Gore also blamed Attorney General John Ashcroft for ignoring warnings of a possible attack on Sept. 11, 2001.

"That is an extremely serious error in judgment that constitutes a reckless disregard for the safety of the American people," he said.

and for sure Reno took the primaries in Florida.
It would be good to remember those for the DU-ers who obsess with strategies and hard work for nest year - and think that if we throw enough votes at the machines they'll reach a point where they'll say: enough! We give! No more stealing!"
The "he won - but not by a big enough margin" or "close enough to steal" are as idiotic as "we fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here"

THERE IS NO MARGIN OF STEALING!

43. 9/11would never have happened under Gore
We wouldn't have USA Patriot, media suppression, NSA woretapping, or Iraq.

Clinton ordered the CIA to kill bin Laden. They didn't get around to
it. Says Richard Clarke.

Sandy Berger went to the Pentagon 11/7/00 asking for commando raids on
the camps. The Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint
Chiefs opposed him.

http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,333835,0...

Richard Clarke had a plan to go after al Qaeda financially and
militarily. Had a Gore victory been assured, hostilities would have
commenced in October of 2000.

"If we hadn't had a transition," says a senior Clinton Administration
official, "probably in late October or early November 2000, we would
have had (the plan to go on the offensive) as a presidential
directive."

Says the TIME magazine article above.

Since there was a transition, Clinton decided to hold off. Berger and
Clarke went to see Condi in January. Clarke's plan got the "not
invented here" treatment--a policy review that was still ongoing when
9/11 happened.

It's hard to imagine Gore ignoring warnings from 11 foreign countries
and 3 FBI offices. According to Die Zeit and Der Spiegel, the Mossad
warned before 9/11 of 19 terrorists in the USA preparing attacks. The
warning named names, four of which have been released. Mohammed Atta
was one, another alleged 9/11 pilot was another, and two alleged 9/11
hijackers are two more.
