Let's face it, bush IS above the law.
he's done what Clinton couldn't, he's become, ABOVE the law. remember when the republicans wailed and spat that no man is above the law, not even the president? where are they now? oh yeah, they're right over there, defending bush.

bush has done, and will continue to do exactly as he or his handlers please thank you very much, until someone, somewhere has the temerity and guts to stop him.

1. Its kinda interesting to watch the pornography of corruption.
It just gets more and more lurid, more and more in your face. That's what's kind of interesting about it all. Republicans have no idea the further juicy bits that are coming. I really want to see what is coming next. is he going to bite the heads of childrens kittens on live TV?

2. 9-11 being the 'money shot' so to speak
it is very interesting, in a nixonian kind of way to watch the inevitable collapse and crash, but also horrible to behold.

4. Freepers like porn
Its pretty obvious they get their kicks this way "in your face." I think the flaccid Right wankers love all this do what ever we want mentality against anything that resembles common sense and usefulness. It's a turn-on like war.

8. I think this side of them will be their downfall.
It will keep getting nastier and nastier until they can't ignore it anymore, which is saying a lot...I can't say how many times in the last few years I have wished I could stop believing what I believe, stop knowing what I know. Its really, really hard to choose to see an ugly truth over a comfy illusion.

6. Take back the Congress and...
This may sound crazy, but I'm not so worried about Bush will do at this point - he has successfully undermined civil liberties and established a future precedent. King Bush may go down as the man who started it, but I would not be suprised if the government finally runs off the rails under a future presidency. Imagine if Nixon was elected following Bush's reforms...

What we need to do, more then simply talk about how much "Bush sux", is to find candidates for office who are willing to undo the damage done by this administration. I have seen a mild resistance to the Patriot Act, but I have not seen any candidates standing on a concrete ground promising to repeal it if elected. The same goes for most of his reforms..

10. Amazing post Annabannana!
You have condensed the situation down to the most precise statements I've seen. Rave on because you've got it figured out.
