2. Damn it, damn it, damn it.
Why the F*** does anyone listen to that bastard? Why? On 9/13/01, he blamed the terrorism on the feminists and the pagans. At that point, he should have been laughed off the national stage. Asking Jerry Falwell for his views is like asking Tiny Tim about economics. Damn, this crap disgusts me!

6. he also claimed that Congress, after singing God Bless America...
Edited on Wed Oct-22-03 03:57 PM by arcane1
chanted "let the ACLU be hanged!"

why on earth is he considered an expert on ANYTHING???

edited to add the quote (though it has more effect to hear or see it):

"Pat, did you notice yesterday that the ACLU and all the Christ-haters, the People for the American Way, NOW, etc., were totally disregarded by the Democrats and the Republicans in both houses of Congress, as they went out on the steps and and called out to God in prayer and sang 'God bless America' and said, let the ACLU be hanged."

9. No it's not like that at ALL!
Asking Jerry Falwell for his views is like asking Tiny Tim about economics.

Has Tiny Tim publically demonstrated complete bone-headed incompetence in the field of economics? Has he broadcast those view far and wide to garner fame and fortune?

I thought NOT!

Whatever his merits (or lack) as an entertainer, Tiny Tim has VASTLY more integrity than Fallwell.

Now, if you were to make a valid comparison of degree of public ignorance, one could ask Rush Limbaugh about pro football....oh, wait.

4. This Isn't Helping The General
This does not help the General at all. And it will only help to force the Pentagon to place him in another job.

What Falwell and General Boykin have both forgotten is that the military isn't made up of Evangelical Christians.

Personally if Boykin had any sense of honor he would submit his resignation immediately. But the general lacks honor, as well as integrity. To come out and say that his remarks were taken out of context only shows that he has no integrity.

5. vile
that man is. According to him, * was chosen by God - when asked by Begala why Clinton was president, he said because we needed a bad president to show us we were wrong. God did it to teach us a lesson. :puke:

8. I am being taught my lesson RIGHT NOW
My life has been HELL since "the appointed one" took office! I just love it when people know exactly what God is up to and exactly what God is saying! I guess to Falwell adultery is worst than mass murder! Why that man gets one minute of air time is beyond me.

11. Falwell's God is not Jesus ~ His is a Vengeful,Jealous God of War
that is portrayed in the old testiment. He is not in any sense of the word a Christian.

12. I agree with you on that!
That is what makes him so scary! His idea is to scare people into conversion. The end is near, you'd better contribute money to me! He preaches ugliness and intolerance.

16. if Jesus ever came back

he'd kick Foulwell so hard that his balls would fly out of his mouth.

a fat, rich, lying, hypocritical fraud. but, BushCo (and his corporate shills) love all corporations, including those who sell "JESUS."

Foulwell (and Robertson's) "JESUS" is to the real Jesus as email porn spam is to a handwritten letter from your grandmother.

(I don't watch him anymore. he comes on the air, <click!>
