BBV: Black Box Voting Controversy Hurting Diebold's Bottom Line
http://crainscleveland.com/news.cms?newsId=1519

"Diebold said strong gains in ATM orders have increased the company's self-service revenue expectations for the fourth quarter. However, Diebold said those gains will be offset in its election systems business due to an order delay caused by an independent security review in Ohio of the voting equipment of all vendors. As a result, Diebold has reduced its election systems revenue expectations in Ohio for the fourth quarter to $10 million from $30 million, with the balance moving to 2004.

3. Let's hope they don't use declining revenues as an excuse
to not add a printer. I wouldn't shed a tear if they went out of business, the lowlifes.

But the people have spoken, and they said, "Diebold sucks!"

14. This is bulls**t
How does Diebold know that they are going to get 30M of business in Ohio? There are 4 approved vendors. Have they had their little meeting and divided the goodies up?? How does Liebold know that they will get approved in Ohio??
Note they said here that they are just moving the balance to 2004 because they have been delayed due to those nasty, paranoid folks who are making trouble over nothing for poor Liebold.

:bounce:

it depends... If that means that states are gonna buy the crapola machines from ES&S or Sequoia, then that is not such a big victory for BBVers... No? -C
