New page at Dean forum shows support by state.....Florida near top.
http://pledge.deanforamerica.com/winState.php

I think this page was just put up the last day or so. I am surprised at the number of Floridians already signed up. Interesting. It is where to sign up for voting in the primaries.

Excellent job on CBS tonight, Dr. Dean! Keep your individuality. Don't let them "handle" you. Keep saying what you think *before* waiting to see how opinion goes. That is what keeps you standing out.

5. Carlos, did you check at this page? Link.

Dade County has over 600 signed up in various locations. Look and see if one is near you. We often have people come to ours to check things out, often they stay, sometimes they don't.

2. Why do you think the DNC do not want a Florida Straw Poll
they can not pick the person they and the DLC want.

9. That is just starting to occur to me.
It really did not sink in before. Doh, I am naive. Some of our candidates to the convention were talking about it, and not picking up on it. Say what you wish, we Dean folks tend to be naive.

4. it means nothing as far as I can tell
I think that "pledging" to vote for Dean is just a symbolic gesture

7. Right, just to get people interested in the primaries.
You can sign up to vote absentee and to have them send you information. Or to just get info. It is a good idea just to pique the interest.

16. We have had a ton of people up here in North Central Florida...
We used to have from Ocala all the way to Lake City at one meetup, now they are all separate, and our Gainesville(only) meetup is trying to separate into two venues because we've expanded so much...

The last house party had about 160 people...and we have more than 200 signed up...and a ton of community activism...

Check out our website (I created it with Deanspace, which is a subset of Drupal...I recommend it to anyone who is setting up a site)...

17. That is amazing from that area. Good website.
I can maybe understand Gainesville because of UF, but Ocala surprises me. And Lake City...amazing.

You must be proud of that. I think Tampa and Orlando are getting up there. We are in between them, and we added quite a few new ones tonight.

18. If I recall correctly, Ocala was somewhat conservative
I lived in Lady Lake for about 6 months and then Fruitland Park for a couple of years. I worked at the Villages of Lady Lake. People in that spot were quite interested in politics and seemed a little conservative as well. If Dean can gain steam in Lake County, he shouldn't have much problem elsewhere in the state, except perhaps in Vero Beach area and Naples, which I'm guessing is probably mostly Bush supporters due to the heavy wealth in those areas.
