2. Like Lauer, like Bush

The Right wing zealots were SO open minded about forgiving Bush for his "youthful indiscretions" about cocaine and SO caring about poor Rush's drug problem, I'm just SURE there will be an outpouring of sympathy for Matt Lauer

3. These are 20 year old allegations

The ones about Rush are recent. There's a difference. Also, Lauer never got on tv or radio and said that all drug offenders should be sent up the river, so he's not a hypocrite.

The freepers were ranting about Al Franken's drug use history, like this was some kind of new story. He admitted to it on plenty of occasions, and has joked about it.
