Right on the front page ... not too important in the grand scheme of life, but it tickled me nonetheless ;-)
Jay Carney, of Time Magazine, was on Paula Zahn's show on 7/2 and this is a quote from the transcript:
"We are now at a situation where the same number of soldiers died before Baghdad fell as after and the White House official told me two weeks ago that the biggest political problem the president faces right now in foreign policy is the mounting death toll of U.S. soldiers in Iraq."
Bush sent these men to DIE for NOTHING and now he's whining that their continuing deaths are a POLITICAL PROBLEM?? Here's a quote from the Tennessean's forum from a soldier's mother:
"As a mother of one of our brave troops in Iraq, may I just say, Mr. President, Perhaps you truly do believe in the invincibility of our military; however, the next time you invite attacks on my son, and others, kindly stand in front of our soldiers, rather than hiding behind."
And that just about says it all, doesn't it?http://www.mediawhoresonline.net/Sue
