1. Pulling Adm Moorer in as a person in agreement means its Bu** Sh*t
most likely.

He is a racist - hates blacks/Jews.

I have no knowledge of this really. I just think its kind of anti-semetic to blame it on American Jews by saying they would have been mad at America for defending itself. I think if it really was a coverup it was probably to avoid a large scale conflict.

3. Do you have a link that retired Admiral Moorer hates blacks & Jews? I'll
take part of your word for it since you've been here a long time papau, but still I'd like to see some info on that. I thought he was very respected, but then I've found that some "respected folks" weren't what they seemed.

4. He is critical of Zionism in Israel
He is critical of what he sees as the abuse of power Israeli Zionists hold over the US.
He does not hate Jews and I have never seen a shred of evidence that
he hates blacks.

The National Jewish Democratic Council (partisan and plenty bigoted)
tried to paint him as anti-Jewish in September of 2003.

7. This Thing Is Turning Into A Roswell Industry
Moorer's claim the motive was to draw the U.S. into war against Egypt is particularly ludicrous: Egyptian armed forces were largely smashed to flinders by the time of the incident, and Israel was beginning to turn towards Syria.

Moorer may well have a bad conscience in the matter, and for good cause, as he was Naval chief of operations, and the operation of the U.S.S. Liberty was so badly botched the vessel was many many miles from where it was supposed to be at the time, and no one in the U.S. Naval commands above it had the slightest idea of its real location.

If the U.S. Navy bungled the thing so badly, it raises the question of why the Israelis should be expected to run a tighter ship the U.S. did. Israeli pilots had very little training or experience in maritime operations, as naval engagements never played a very large role in early Israeli operations. Superb training for air superiority and ground attack operations convey no particular expertise in ship recognition.
