On the telly, two days ago, they were advertising Dateline or whatever show and talking about the victory in Iraq.
Huh? We bombed the diarrhea out of them, but I don't see any victory as the Iraqi people are in a worse state now than before, Saddam is still alive, the US has no control or positive influence in the region, and our own soldiers keep getting killed.
So what does Bush* say in the end? "Bring 'em on".
I agree with Bush, in a perverse sort of way: if America needs a little bloody nose in order to wake up and remember that it is not the dominant force in the world that all will surrender to, so be it. (Which still beats the snot out of something worse that rogue entities or even civilized nations might do if the US goes too far in something...)
America must take responsibility for its actions. Isn't that what the pinnacle of "freedom" is, in the repuke mindset? But when it comes to repukes, "responsibility" and "freedom" never seem to go hand in hand. Anywhere.
