Prez Bush is a damn good example of what not to get for the White House
He is the confirming proof of a good system that went awry through the misuse of Emotion and/or dirty tricks.

The Pub Forces that put Bush into power used a variety of tricks/techniques/etc that propelled this "Peter" into the Presidency.

Our collective comfort level went South due to his mis directions, policies, inititives.

He is a PRIME Example of what not to get when shopping for coaches on a National Level. His win loss record was a joke, his current score is horrifingly low, and he has brought many tears to many American Families much less that of other Nations.

Cutting to the chase, we got taken, all of us, we got had. In addition, We were un prepared for the tenacity, the viciousness, the passion that consumed the Far Right Wing and their people. Those Americans who voted for Gore got shortchanged, cheated out of their rightful choice. But that is history. For now, the best we can do, is not forget it nor get over it.

Therefore, to his credit, he is the good example of what not to follow for he is obviously not taking us to the Promised Land. We must try to do all we can to avoid this national Misstep. Instead, we should all be doing our best to keep America from "Tripping Twice"
by voting him and the pubs out.

Your flames or your comments are most welcomed.

2. To wit, if I may; There are all too many in our general society that are
a tad low on the oil level. Some of them might find this thread offensive.

That is all, lol,

Come, we find some cold beer and enjoy.

3. What I want to know is
why isn't there a screening process for candidates for public office just like there is for government jobs? I mean before they go on the ballot they should be screened for competency for the job just like any other job applicant. I believe, literacy, education, including grade point average, specialized training for the job, job experience and intelligence testing should all count. If these criteria had been applied to Bush, he never would have even made the ballot in Texas let alone for the President of the United States.

6. The $10,000,000,000.00 Question, WHY NOT?
Common Sense, Logic, Sanity, Reason, Math, etc etc all point towards your question/point of view.

Simple, the prevailing Powers that be want it this way. Can we believe it? You bet your buns its this way.

Come, we look at the reason, its called, how to use EMOTION to gain Power, control, profits, and Domination.

7. Sorry, can't do that
The Constitution spells out qualifications for the Presidency and that can't be altered without an amendment.

However, I wish we could.......

8. My 11 year old said the very same thing
the other day. "Isn't there some kind of test you have to take before you can run for President" How could someone as stupid as Shrub be elected?"

Of course we then went through the whole Florida debacle and the SCOTUS theft and she took over from me half way through. Yes, I agree with both you and her, lets test these applicants. Coulda saved us a world of hurt with the * bonehead.

9. If an 11 year old can figure this out, then you know the Powers
can figure it out also.

That its(the Constitution) not been amended yet to include some kind of FILTER, testing, classes, etc for the candidates, can only mean one thing. They want it this way and it must be to their advantage..... certainly not the masses, not America, and not that of our children. These guys are rough man, they play rough, they lie cheat steal.
