Mn. public radio breaking my heart right now...(Wellstone retrospective)
a retrospective on the Senate Campaign against Coleman.
Lot of exerpts from Paul speeches, for one thing. brings tears to my eyes.
then you have Coleman. the shallow opportunist.
"Wellstone is weak on national defense."
"I don't question his patriotism. I question his judgment."
how many Repub candidates used that line?
we went from Paul to one of the most transparent ....wretched....slick...shit, the words don't come.
God, I am embarrassed to be represented by Norman Coleman.
Wellstone: "despite a desire to support out president, I believe too many Americans have profound questions about a go-it-alone approach."

AH! the ad quoting Coleman...endorsing Wellstone and Clinton, back when he was a "democrat." that was fun...

never knew Coleman had the audacity to sing "The Times They are A-Changin'". A purely putrid, porcine candidate. Second time he said his daughters advised him to do it. He uses this a lot.
Do NOT believe it. He barely sees his family enough to remember his kids' name...

....now, God help us, the replay of the news break-ins....oh, shit, I can't listen to this. But I can't turn it off either.

4. Coleman exploited the death of one of his kids to try to attack Mondale
Coleman is shameless. He cares about nothing but power. He exploited the death of his children in the Mondale debate to try to push his right wing agenda.

Coleman is slime.

5. I don't know about you but I'm in the mood for a mellow
reminescence of Senator Wellstone. I agree with the sentiment you express...but I think we can honor Wellstone tonight in a positive and optimistic way
