Drudge radio ratings claim: Is he really #1 in New York?

FLASH: DRUDGE REPORT RADIO HITS #1 NEW YORK CITY AMONG ALL LISTENERS <12+> IN JUST RELEASED SPRING RATINGS BOOK FROM ARBITRON -- WITH 8.1 SHARE; TOPS ALL STATIONS, WABC 770 AM SUNDAY NIGHT...

Here's the scoop. In the radio graveyard time slot of 10PM Sunday night, this is possible. Maybe. But it surely doesn't prove his implication that rightwing talk radio is a force in NY.

WABC is 8th in the market. In fact, more New Yorkers get their news radio fix from WINS - a real news station.

I have poor reception, so have few choices. In among all the commericials, WINS claims to be NY's #1 radio station.

Correction: Not #1, "most listened to".

...but they probably bill the most. News/Talk station typically bill more because of the demographics they attract.

6. Like RJ pointed out, he's on Sunday night.

I used to listen to him for giggles on the ride home from rehearsal on Sunday nights.

His show's pretty horrible. If I must say so myself, me and Symbolman do a better show than Drudge does. :)
