Are Columbians smarter than Americans?
From the recent elections it sure looks like it!

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/americas/10/26/colombia.referendum.ap/index.html

They are voting down "anti-terror" measures. It seems that they are more level headed than their hard line president. I have to think, how would they have felt about a "Patriot Act"?

One more thing - have we as a nation reached the point of needing a regular plebiscite style check and balance on executive policies in light of the stunts of the sitting Commander In Scam?

1. I think it is very safe to say that Columbians are smarter than at least
half the population of this country. Not a doubt in MY mind.

2. Sorry but it is Colombians, not Columbians. I am glad they voted the way
they did.

5. And the have some REALLY NEAT....
stamps. Early airmail was handled by a group of German former WWI pilots, flying over the Andes in bi-planes and early monowings. VERY dangerous. The company SCADTA ISSUED STAMPS THAT WERE IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR POSTAGE. A little expensive, but the security and speed made the added cost worthwile. For incoming airmail the stamps were overprinted with initials of the originating country and were sold overseas and added inthe foreign nation. Very collectable, especially on cover. I'd be happy to hear from stamp-collecting DUers. I'll show you mine if you show me yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
