Bush to help Moon 'remake' the United Nations.
From moonwatcher
Brilliant, concise, and frightening.

Bush to help Moon 'remake' the United Nations.

Moon, who has a goal of theocratic world governed by his group, is well on his way to reaching his goal of 'remaking' the United Nations as part of the future world he is molding. He has been talking about manipulating the UN as a tool for decades. He wants a two body UN, one secular and the other headed by the religious. Although not often mentioned, he wants the religious group to be the most powerful.

Moon will reach his goal of 'remaking' the United Nations with the help of the Bush administration.

Sorry, this post will only scratch the surface.

Findings #2 & #3

(2) The Moon Organization attempts to achieve goals outlined by Sun Myung Moon, who has substantial control over the economic, political, and spiritual activities undertaken by the organization in pursuit of those goals.

(3) Among the goals of the Moon Organization is the establishment of a worldwide government in which the separation of church and state would be abolished and which would be governed by Moon and his followers.

This is from Time Magazine June 14, 1976. Pg. 49 Under the Title "The Secret Sayings of Master Moon"..quoting Moon:

FUTURE PLANS(1976): Once our movement arouses the interest of the people in a nation, through mass media it will spread all throughout the world… So, we are going to focus our attention on one nation from where to reach the world. For that purpose I chose the U.S.

The present U.N. must be annihilated by our power. That is the stage for Communists. We must make a new U.N.

If the U.S. continues its corruption, and we find among the Senators and Congressmen no one really usable for our purpose, we can make Senators and Congressman out of our members… I have met many famous, so-called famous, Senators and Congressmen; but to my eyes, they are nothing. They are weak and helpless. We will win the battle. This is our dream, our project. But shut your mouth tight.

Here is an excerpt from Moon's speech in April of 2000.
http://www.iifwp.org/governance/index.php3?page=background

Although secular authorities rule most human societies, religion lies at the heart of most national and cultural identities. In fact, religious faith and devotion have far greater importance in most peoples hearts than do political loyalties.
The existing United Nations structure, composed of national representatives, may be regarded as a congress where the interests of each member nation are represented. However, I submit that serious consideration should be given to forming a religious assembly, or council of religious representatives within the structure of the United Nations. This assembly or council would consist of respected spiritual leaders in fields such as religion, culture and education. Of course, the members of this interreligious assembly will need to have demonstrated an ability to transcend the limited interests of individual nations and to speak for the concerns of the entire world and humanity at large….

Furthermore, one of the reasons I founded the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace was to help create an interreligious assembly to serve as a senate or council within the United Nations. To implement this plan, I propose that each nation, in addition to its current ambassador, send a religious ambassador to the United Nations to serve as a member of the religious assembly, or UN senate.

The mission of the representatives to this UN senate would require that they have a genuinely ecumenical or interreligious consciousness and that they have the training and ability to teach a universal, trans-national ideal of peace. The nature of their purpose and mission would prohibit their promoting the narrow interests of a particular country. Rather, they would carry out their duties for the ideal of peace in the world and for the sake of all humanity in accordance with God’s Will.

(note this is also the talk where Moon told his followers they should no longer 'own' anything.

http://www.unification.net/2003/20030510_1.html

The UN does not have its own nation. That is why we should build a UN nation. All wickedness in the world should be dealt with in according with laws to be determined at the UN. The era of individuals and nations will now become part of the past.

There are no owners in the UN either. If we unite together as warriors to find the owners of the UN, and the more united we are, the shorter the time it will take. We are doing our best to make an Abel UN by the end of this year. Where was it? Was it Indonesia? This September we will present a new Resolution at the UN General Assembly centering on the Philippines’ National Assembly President, and we are doing all we can in every way to ensure it is passed at the UN Assembly.

Once that resolution is passed, the restored Kingdom of Heaven will open up in front of our eyes. The wild olive tree growing on the other side of the wall will be cut and grafted onto the True Olive Tree, and then it will also bear true olives. Three years after engraftment, the tree will bear fruit.

When the people from the neighboring nations see the trees bearing true fruits, they will climb over the wall to steal the branches so that they can also engraft them. They will fight with each other to steal them, if need be. Just like this, when the three generations are all connected together and blessed, it will spread out in the world and grow larger automatically. Therefore the era of liberation will come when the road leading directly to the Kingdom of Heaven will be opened through families, Amen! Remember these words....

Now we will correct the era in which we lacked so many things, and with the declaration of True Parents’ new liberation and centering on the Day of the Settlement of Noon, the families of heaven and earth have all come together under our Heavenly Father. We offer you the condition of all nations’ restoration, in this place where we are restoring everything that failed after the creation, and with the UN, we are inheriting all the victories of Heaven.

ASAN CITY, South Korea – At the next meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations in September, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of the Philippines is to present a formal proposal for the establishment of an Inter-religious Council at the world body. It would be an institutional part of the United Nations, with status like that of the U.N.'s Economic and Social Council or the Trusteeship Council.

At her meeting with President Bush at the White House in May, Arroyo suggested the United States might want to co-sponsor the proposal. Bush, a practicing Christian with a keen sense of the power of religion, expressed deep interest and asked his national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, to study the matter.

In fact, Rice already knew of the plan. Two of her aides, Karen Brooks and James Moriarty, had already been briefed on the plan by the speaker of the Philippines House of Representatives, Jose de Venecia, who has waged a campaign for such a religious infusion into the work of the United Nations.

>>>

In August 2000, as part of the U.N.'s Millennium events, 1,000 religious and spiritual leaders met at the U.N. and established a new World Council. But they decided to retain their independence from the U.N. structure and to act instead "as a resource body for the Secretary-General and the U.N."

The proposal for an Inter-religious Council to become a formal part of the U.N. structure is ambitious and new, and de Venecia has put his formidable energies behind the task of winning political support through his connections with "Christian Democrat" parties around the world, and particularly in Europe. This may be an idea whose time has come.

This was certainly the view of a conference going on in Asan, South Korea, by Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace, an organization begun by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church. Moon also is the founder of News World Communications Inc., which owns UPI.

Imams and rabbis, Buddhist monks and Church of England clergymen, Muftis and leaders of the Unification Church all backed the council idea strongly. Campaigns are being organized around the world this summer to win support for the next U.N. session.

It will presented to the UN as a 'Phillipino" initiative, make no mistake this IS Moon's initiative he is talked about it for years.

The United Nations and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) are receptive to a Philippine proposal to create a UN interreligious council to promote dialogue among people of various faiths, Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. said yesterday.Interfaith dialogue, according to De Venecia, will eliminate the root cause of international terrorism.

In a statement, the Speaker said the warm reception from UN officials and envoys from different countries followed a positive response last week from US President George W. Bush, who said the proposal for an interfaith dialogue was a "great idea" and that it would be discussed in his Cabinet.

"President Arroyo and I are pushing for an interfaith dialogue among Christians, Muslims, Jews, Confucians, Hindus and other major religious groups during our meetings with President Bush and UN officials," he said.

>>

De Venecia said he met with 16 UN envoys from Latin America, Africa, and Asia, as well as officials of UN agencies, in New York last week. They were enthusiastic about the idea of an interfaith dialogue and the creation of an interreligious council.

He also held talks with officials from the OIC, the United Nations Economic, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) and the International Federation for World Peace.

The creation of such a council would require the filing of a UN resolution and the approval of the UN Security Council, according to De Venecia.

The Speaker also met with UN General Assembly president John Cagan, whom he said was also enthusiastic about the proposal. UN Undersecretary General for Political Affairs Kieran Prendergast also attended the meeting.

He added that US envoy to the UN John Negroponte assured him that the proposal would be pushed in the UN assembly.

UN officials, according to De Venecia, are prepared to work with Philippine Permanent Representative in the UN Lauro Baja to campaign among other member nations for support.

>>

President Arroyo earlier said Bush had shown interest in De Venecia’s proposal when she and De Venecia met with Bush at the White House.

"During our meeting at the White House, the Speaker put forward his proposal for a dialogue of civilizations and inter-faith solidarity, and the creation of a UN inter-religious council as a means to world peace," she said.

De Venecia said Bush told him that he would ask Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice to discuss the matter with him. The Speaker did not give other details.

2. Thanks, Panda...
this needed to get out there. There are some people on this board who truly GET that Moon is involved in almost every aspect of the BFEE. Our North Korea policy is in his hands, even. He has no loyalty to this country, just as the Bush family has no loyalty to it. They are in it for their OWN power.

10. Bush's ties with Moon can split the Christian vote
Let's start posting this on freerepublic.com, and baptistboard.com. Many conservative Christians are uncomfortable with the cozy relationship the GOP has to weird cult groups like the Moonies.

Yes, I fully understand the irony :)
