1. JudicialWatch is on the outside
Of the neo-con money trail. Because he gets his money and reputatoin from prosecution of government, with Clinton gone, Bush is the only game in town.

8. I think the other posts below explain it well enough
He's conservative, but he's not a Bush/neo-con/Repuke apparatchnik. While he is fighting the good fight against Bush, he is not a friend of the Democrats.

2. Perhaps They're Real Conservatives, and Not Neo-Cons
Real conservatives hate corruption and big government of all kinds.

I am starting to believe Klayman is the real deal.

3. Maybe they are honest and conservative.
I know I wouldn't want some crook giving my party a bad name.

6. Exactly...
...witness Ron Paul on his speech about the neocons. The neocons aren't just our enemy, they are the enemy of every conservative that considers themselves a patriot as well...

7. They make a big show of impartiality
Have for years. You're behind the curve on this one.

Of course they're not really impartial, they just make this big show of it, and their power is the use (and arguably abuse) of civil law and pushing open government. If they accepted Cheney's dictates, they'd have to fold out of having nothing to do...

10. Just to point out something
after reading these posts: I have no problem with true conservatives, people who believe the government should stay out of our lives as often as possible. However, I believe this ought to stop at business; the idea of corporate personhood has to go.

That said, fiscal conservatives- more power to 'em. If they can find room for the social programs we absolutely must have (until hunger, homelessness, joblessness, drug addiction, and on and on- in short, all of the ills that plague any modern society, are wiped away), they have my blessing, but their conservatism should stop at the roles culture and society in generalplay in our lives. I definitely don't agree that a traditional conservative would discriminate against me based on who I invite to my bed, but thanks to the political capitalization on the religious right by the Republican party in the 1970s, those traditional conservative ideals are dead and gone.

Lincoln has been spinning in his grave for over twenty-five years. The only explanation for it: people don't learn from their own history.

Which is, after all, a historical fact.
