Where's AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANLOLT ???????
Shouldn't he be in San Diego with a bull horn in hand directing the fire fighters????

Calling out the National Guard...oops, sorry, they are needed in Iraq.

How about sending in the Texas Air National Guard. THEY don't fight wars and should be available.

2. He's in Vegas dude
he was there for the Mr. Olympia contest. See now that is much more important than "his" state burning. :grr:

3. Under what authority
could he do that?

And could we be honest for a second?

If he was in San Diego with a bullhorn directing firefighters, the complaint would be "What the hell is he doing? The election hasn't been certified, and already he is trying to steal power from the rightful Governor, Gray Davis."

Am I wrong?

4. Although he couldn't officially do anything at this time
I think it would be appropriate if Ahnold remained in the state, at least appearing to be paying attention to what is happening. He could say that he hoped people who supported him would donate to the Red Cross, or other relief agencies helping the people who have lost their homes. He could even go to a Red Cross site and symbolically donate some money or something. This would set a good example, and would be something he could do to show all Californians that he is interested in the state.
