Hmmmm. This is interesting. Numbnuts has now made it more difficult for the people to share their opinions with him. One more sign that he doesn't care what we think.

White House puts up obstacle course for e-mails
Critics cite burden of additional steps

By John Markoff

Do you want to send an e-mail message to the White House?

Good luck.

In the past, to tell President Bush--or at least those assigned to read his mail--what was on your mind it was only necessary to sit down at a personal computer connected to the Internet and dash off an e-mail note to president@whitehouse.gov.

But this week, Tom Matzzie, an online organizer with the AFL-CIO, discovered that communicating with the White House has become a bit more daunting. When he sent an e-mail protest against a Bush administration policy, the message was bounced back with an automated reply that instructed him to send the message in a new way.

1. I thought of doing an experiment
That is, fill out the 9 pages of forms saying I was a Bush supporter and then writing the email on something else (definately anti), just to see what the response would be. But I don't think I'll waste the time as I already know-it will be a canned reply thanking me for supporting Shrub on whatever topic I picked.

No one is reading these emails. And now it will be easier to "lose" the anti-Bush ones so they don't have to keep a tally on how many emails they get.

Also note there are no topics on "jobs" or "unemployment". And no way to simply ask a question.

If I contact the WH, it will be via snail mail, I think.

Bet the whole thing changes once a Dem gets back in office.
